Re: Sleepless in Storm Peaks: My Camp for TLPD

This time, I doubt it. The restart will reset the timer, putting the likely spawn at exactly when the mage is comfortably stacking on me each day, and the last Frozen Lake spawn was seven spawns ago, making it most likely that the next spawn will be there. I'll catch one, I just... wish that I could catch the first one I see instead of losing it to that... long string of inappropriate words, hehe. Maybe I'll get incredibly, ridiculously lucky.

I think that where he/she spawns is totally random, so just because they haven't spawned at the Frozen Lake for a while doesn't make it any more likely they will the next time.

I know you probably prefer camping at the Frozen Lake... But might I suggest moving for a while to another spot? I always move straight to Brunnhildar if someone is already at the Frozen Lake when I log on each day, and I check back every now and then at the Frozen Lake to see if it's free. I dunno why people prefer the Frozen Lake the most though. Personally, I've seen a lot of Vyra spawns here before, even before I started camping, but I think that was due to me getting lucky. I seriously doubt that one spawn point has more chance of something spawning than another, though.

The thing that makes Frozen Lake better than the others is the fact that a couple of other spawns' paths get close enough to it to set off SilverDragon/NPCScan. Although when there are more than a couple of people camping, in my opinion the bonus it gives isn't worth much!

Yeah, sure, it crosses with a few flight paths too. But take my example from yesterday - Someone killed Vyragosa JUST out of range of the Frozen Lake spawn point. It wasn't until I moved to go and have a look that I found her dead just next to the lake. As long as I'm able to camp one spawn point though, I'm happy.

Absolutely agreed. You can see three different paths from the lake spawn, which makes it the prime camping spot if you're alone. However, if all of the spawns are covered, then there's absolutely no advantage to it, since if either drake spawns at a different node, you'll never know it at the lake anyway.

Ahh, you're missing a key part of the information. I have all four spots covered at present, and shortly I'll only have three covered but that's still more than she has. There's no reason for me to move, because if I did I'd just lose my ability to monitor Frozen Lake and that's all it would do for me.

Do you have dual screens or something? I wish I could afford dual screens and accounts... Well, actually I don't, I'm not interested in that, I only am when it comes to camping things like this. :P

Either way, I camp on the Frozen Lake spawn point whenever I can. I'm not sure if it's mean or not, but even if there are people floating ABOVE the Frozen Lake (So not at all at the exact spot) then I'll still take the actual spawn location there. I know it seems a little unfair to the people there, but I don't wanna risk TLPD spawning there and me missing it, since I've seen a lot of Vyras there, as I said before. And if it spawns there, I'll be able to grab it way before anyone else can. And... it's not my fault they couldn't do the research and find out the exact spot it spawns, tbh.

There was an Alliance hunter who came over there while I was already camping the spot, but I would've taken it without a second thought, because that was the same hunter that kept ganking me when I once tried to camp a few months back. Clearly she never got the mount, but I don't care. People who don't treat me fair I won't treat fair in return.

I have a laptop, where my mother's account is logged in, and my boyfriend and her boyfriend help me when they can, which is most of the day. But it's irrelevant now, because I've decided to take a break. I'm tired of the mage trying to grief me and I'm tired of spending every day in fear that if I look away from the screen for an instant, I'll miss it. I'll come back to it soon enough, and I'll leave my mother's priest at Waterfall for kicks while I do other things, but for now, I need to restore some of my sanity. x_x

I hope it pops when you come back.

And a break is a good thing! I got my TLPD right after I logged back on from my first break in nine days, remember?

I had to have a break from my Aeonaxx hunt as well, and it wasn't long after I came back to it, refreshed and confident, that I got it. :)

It amuses me greatly that the mage seems to be pretty terrible, but thinks s/he is a badass because s/he has PvP gear and is on a non-PvP server. Having full vicious and a 1500 2s rating doesn't give them the right to taunt anyone. They'd be considered a joke on a PvP server.

I'll post the exact times later, but I'm now up to sixteen Vyragosas killed. Sixteen! Talk about ridiculous.

Vyragosa number 17 was this morning. I honestly have no idea where it came from! I was napping on the couch with my boyfriend and NPCScan woke me up. When I stumbled over to the computer, Vyragosa was very far below Frozen Lake and flying east. The delay in reaching the computer was hardly anything at all, so I haven't a clue which spawn it could possibly have been. I'm guessing backwards Waterfall, or a really unusual Frozen Lake...?

Sounds like a Ulduar spawn to me! Bet she spawned and headed west along the bottom of the Ulduar island, down over the snow-drift plains and down into FL. It might seem like a very rare spawn, but Pond on TLPD resource says that its a much under-estimated spawn point.

I've heard from a fellow TLPD that they saw Time lost spawn here - they too saw him heading east along FL - sadly he missed out on him to a passer-by farming the harpies :(

GL hun! He's gotta spawn soon!!

Hmm, it's possible, Zhuge. I've caught several Ulduar spawns, so I know it happens pretty frequently, and Ulduar does pass in the same direction... but at the height and the angle it was flying, I'm really thinking it was a reverse Waterfall spawn. I guess we'll never know, though! Not that it much matters, given that the spawns are all random, hehe. Thank you for the luck! <3 I need it badly.

Wow this is amazingly nuts. 17 18 kills???

You gotta be soon. But then again, its just a 1/16 or 1/17 chance for a TLPD... maybe you need 18 more kills??? I kid :0
