Cow, we do have saber tigers....they're the mount model types. The smaller ones deserve to not be sabers. Not everyone is a saber fan. I prefer the smaller models to be regular. If I want saber, I'll go for the bigger, bulkier ones.

If they do revamp, i probably wont be taming lions again unless the black and white models prove to be able to hide the horrible ickness that is the brown model (black and white opposed to colors seems to make models that are naturally horrible in colors more appealing and less bleh).

While i currently dont actively tame lion models due to their current graphics (i dont like brown in general but i dont like the fleshy colored muzzle on the black and i dont like the bluey-grey fur on white, but i still would like at least one good lion.. ive tried to make friends with the current models..), i would love to have one by all means. I just cant click with any tho. But the tigeeeerrrrrsssss, i think i could live without lion models for the new sezy tigers. I cannot live without my cat models hands down. I will be sad to not get my lion, if i cant get along with sambas recolors, but i'll find new friends with the new tiger models XD

(All personal preference, i know theres some of you who are probably /gasping at me XD i know theres people who love his big mane, but it does have awful quirks! The body is gorgeous, the mane just ruins it.)

The spectral saber tigers getting a model update via the new siberian tiger god model. With the beta only just opened a few days ago, its way early yet and blizz has a lot of work to do, but has anyone else thought that we might see a purple and whiteish green recolor of that model and find them slapped onto magria/ankha/gondria?

I can live with the revamp as I know it will happen and it's just a game. Don't mean I can be happy bout it

I've allways seen WoW cats as sabertooths. Just gonna think the new tigers as some form of subspecies where there fangs grew shorter as they don't need to hunt big things etc. LOGIC!

I played with this thought myself after seeing a short snippet video of said model but it seems rather unlikely in my opinion, all things considered. Personally I doubt they'll even let us tame the "god tiger" if they are indeed some kind of major lore characters. (Don't get me wrong, I'd tame it in a heart beat but I'm just not trying to get my hopes up in vain.) Though if they do let us tame the model, my guess is it's going to be the "new Sambas" where it's the new shiny thing they want players to go after instead of just finding revamps of old spirit beasts already tamed in their stables.

Maybe eventually, later in the lifetime of this expansion and IF they do indeed start making replacements of old models we might see a whole new Gondria or Ankha or Magria, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

But that green 'Kringer" tiger makes me wonder... Are they planning to replace some old-world tigers? I mean I didn't think they would, but seeing that green tiger has made me wonder because it's literally only been used... once? So hmm...

but I doubt they will be replacing Gondria and the other spectral tigers with the "tiger god" model. Magria and the other one that was added in 4.2 sat in the files for most of Wrath completely unused. I feel the only reason Blizzard ever even added them is because someone was watching Hunter forums and saying "hey guys, we should implement all those unused cat skins and models we never implemented. Seems people want them."

I think the green just looks very suited for the Pandarian zones, and maybe they were inspired by the old colour scheme on Winna's Kitten to do it again.

i have a feeling that that model will end up tameable Rikaku.
it looks so...organic and not stoneish as i first thought.

But we will just have to wait and see.

This is just an random thought but we have Jade cat statues and the new green tiger skin right? This got me thinking what if the green tiger is a jade statue that has the curse of flesh? Theres alot of models here that have stone and flesh forms so it could be something. :/

I'd like for the green/orange tiger to be a new 'jungle' tiger in one of the new zones

have a bunch of orange flora in a thick jungle, it'd be fitting ^^

Maybe. Green is very suited, but I guess the yellow just seems weird. But hey, who am I to judge? XD

I know. Hense why we have actual big saber models that dont look like their teeth weigh more than their body.. *points to the mounts*

Sambas model doesnt bother me....except the fact EVERYONE I know uses him. ._.; So I'm sick of seeing everyone using that one cat.
