Am I the only one who's disappointed that Blizz is dropping Garrosh?

I also hated him at first. But he undergoes some serious character development in Cataclysm, even quoting Saurfang in his rage over the genocide and murder of some Night Elf Druids--

"Am I a murderer, Krom'gar? Then I ask you again--WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?"

"You laid WASTE to the land. Murdered INNOCENTS. Children, even! I spent a very long time in Northrend, Krom'gar. I learned much about the Horde in that time. While there, a wise old war hero told me something that I would carry with me forever. Honor, Krom'gar: no matter how dire the battle, never forsake it." He then passes judgement & executes him for his crimes.

He insults Sylvanas, yes, but his flaws were... changing. And if he's simply dropped as "evil," overthrown even, Thrall's judgement will be proved lacking.

I'd much prefer that he matured into a true leader, rather than being dropped due to popular sentiment (imo) and poorly-handled, stereotyped characterization at the start.

Anyway, since it's already been announced that he's gone, I'd like to see Saurfang in charge also, or Eitrigg, even. Both of them seem very smart, enough to delegate where they're unsure, or ask for help, but would generally be able to lead with a steady hand and a strong will.

As a player I think Sylvanas would be awesome, since she'd start such massive chaos, and it'd devolve into crazyfuntimes.

But from an RP perspective, it would be disastrous--remember, this is the woman who took poor Koltira Deathweaver and dragged him away for torture simply for sparing the life of an old friend--and we haven't seen him since. It's odd, really, because in some aspects she seems quite level-headed and intelligent, cunning, and in other ways she's just a bit insane. It's like, her reasoning is sound, but her methods are just mad. That doesn't mean I wouldn't love to play WoW under Sylvanas's rule--we'd be bombing the Alliance, breaking Stormwind down, just basically dropping the "truce" mentality and going into all-out war, I bet.

Lastly, I cannot see any Orc leader bowing his head to her demands.

Zaela would probably be a great leader, but the diplomatic side of it and the sheer size of the Horde is probably also too much for her, not to mention she's been a very minor character. Then again, so was Garrosh (and he, too, wasn't a "green" Durotar orc). If she officially "mates" herself to Garrosh at the start of MoP, it's quite possible that she'll simply inherit his place, as well as getting some valuable experience alongside him beforehand.

Vol'jin is a great leader. I don't have any complaint about him, except that the whole weird Zandalari subplot has kind of stained his persona for me. He'd need a little more "flavor," too, imo. A flaw, or drives of some kind; as it is, he seems like a strong leader but he has no motives or anything. I just can't picture what direction the Horde would move in with Vol'jin in charge, because I have no idea what he'd want. I do like him, though, and with some tweaking he'd be great. His concern for the well-being of the whole Horde under Garrosh's rule was really indicative of a good "boss."

I'm also disappointed that after attempts were made to make Garrosh seem more likable (*especially* with that quest in Stonetalon), the lore-masters are apparently just going to fall back on "Well no one likes him so off he goes". Uh, so much for character development?

I do a lot of character design/development, so stuff like that annoys me.

Maybe I'm surprised that no one's mentioned it yet (unless I missed it) but I recently thought of a new Warchief-- Nazgrim.

"Who?" You ask. Why, only the orc that's been questing with Horde players for expansions now. And every time we see him, he's had a promotion.
Why, the natural course of progression is that he'll magically be Warchief in no time at all!

On Lor'themar Theron, Regent Lord of Silvermoon, his roles have been outside of the game. Rather unfortunate. Even more unfortunate is that after so many of us asked for him to at least have a unique voice, they gave him a terrible one as an afterthought (really, click on him sometime).

After all, if he's fully redeemed, he's got nowhere else for his character to go, other than back down. Could have him go out on a high note.

You know I'd like that! I mean theres that whole thing with the cultests and stuff. Like a big ass demon shows up and he fights it or somesuch I dunno. It would make a good twist.

Aslong as they do it in game and not in a bloody book! I don't like Blizzs idea of that "Important lore should be in comics and books not games. Everyoen reads those!"
