It's good that I got all the mounts when I did coz I no longer need to kill these the scouts are a good source of gold so ill stick to them and I could imagine the warbringers are too but it takes me 20 mins+ to kill them which is a complete waste of my time tbh

It's a bummer because I spent hours working on one and still haven't got a mount. When I grouped up, they dropped and I lost the roll all 3-4 times. :(

Did any of you tried the scouts in the last couple of hours?

I just noticed this post on the US forums from a hunter:
How about this.. what was changed in the warscouts and why? I used to be able to solo them but now my pets(tank or not) get 1 shot.. I mean it was dangerous before.. sometimes my pet would die and I would have to rez but now no matter what I do I cannot keep my pet alive.
correlated with the tiny patching I saw this morning it makes me wonder..

I read the blizz thing this morning and killed a scout earlier today with no problems so I'm not sure what was happening to that guy but I had no trouble at all...

Would of been great had I found a scout just before heading to bed would of been able to verify that even more guess I have to wait till tmoz.

they have been hotfixed and are immune to stun/snare now
Zandalari Warbringers Hotfix Clarification

Yes, it’s intentional. Zandalari Warscouts are supposed to be difficult solo encounters; you can use various control mechanics on them.
Zandalari Warbringers, however, are designed for groups of players. They’re immune to snares and other control effects for the same reason that most 5-player dungeon bosses are: those effects would make the encounter easier than intended. Grab some friends, or invite the people camping the spawn to join your group, and you should be just fine.

In summary, it is dangerous to go alone. Bringing friends should make taking down a Warbringer much more manageable.

Was making Horrific Visage uninterruptabale also intended?
Bring a friend with a dispel magic ability to counter Horrific Visage's fear effect.

Well gave it an other shot and it seems I am able to solo the dreadwaste, townlong and kunlai ones atleast so 3/5 isnt to bad i guess XD

however when I tried pulling the mob to the neutral town in kun lai (grummle bazaar I got wtf pwned by guard) and the boss is very prone to despawn so i just decided to kite it around.

dont think ill be going for the jade forest one and krasang one just way to many trees and mobs around -_-

Scouts haven't changed (killed 4 or 5 this afternoon, pet tanking) so I don't know what the one hunter mentioned earlier was struggling with. Perhaps he'd never run into one with the vengeful spirit ability? That will still two shot a pet very quickly.

I'm really paranoid that they'll continue messing with Warbringers until they become impossible to solo, so as annoying as it is I'm concentrating on nothing but Warbringers until I'm done with them.

Well it looked like the scouts did either a little more damage or that avoidance was kicking in less then it used to be I actually had some pets die as well while they never did before. but I just kept mend pet up a little more and it went fine.

but ill be focusing on warbringer as well before they get nerfed any further. had some jade galore yesterday unfortunately no mount yet :(
and maybe its me but it looks like they pretty much drop the blue bag 100% now? or at least all the war bringers I killed after the nerf dropped the blue bag and most of the time also the green one :S.

If scouts are doing a little more damage I'm not noticing it. I even let Mend Pet drop off sometimes now and the pet still never dips below 80% unless a spirit happens to get on it. Though I did tame a turtle just to be on the safe side.

Hard to say if bag drops got increased because I'm killing a lot fewer Warbringers than before the fix. I used to kill 4 or 5 a day and now it's 2 if I'm lucky. It's just not as fun as it was before, and people who were helping me look for them have lost interest too because they don't know how to keep the fight going if I get stomped.

Definitely don't always get a blue bag but it seems it'll drop at least 1 bag, if not both a green and blue.

This change to warbringers ultimately doesn't affect me since I just do what I always did. Granted it is more dangerous, but I enjoy the challenge.

what I don't enjoy is when the warbringer vanishes and resets, or evades when i am within 40 yards of it and it has me targetted, and we arent far from its spawn point. that is broken design impeding a kill.

when I have the fight under control, controlling fears with my pet and i am kiting and whittling him down and he resets for no reason at 30%? and then someone else grabs him because I got bugged? thats the pinnacle of frustration. thats a bug stealing the tag from me and giving it to someone else.

edit: I think they have made a change even since the original no-cc etc change. these things are just randomly resetting on me over and over and over, for no apparent reason. It isn't the mobs distance from spawn point, its not how close me or my pet is to the mob, it isnt who he is targeting, it isnt when he casts a spell, its random. I got a good 14 pulls in on the Kun Lai one, and every time he reset, and every time the circumstances were different.

You know, if I had to join a group because I didn't have the practice at soloing, I could suck it up, admit i need to work on it and take my lumps. but this isn't authentic challenge. there isnt a world mob in the game with as wonky leash mechanics as these guys now have. the challenge of soloing them isnt staying alive, its keeping the dumb thing from leashing randomly.

if they dont want anyone soloing these, thats fine. make an enrage mechanic on the mob that would prevent it (a timed stacking debuff that increases movement speed, dmg etc). groups would have no problem with this because of dedicated healers and more dps than solo. but randomly leashing gives the presentation of buggyness, not mechanics.

Supposedly the leashing goes hand in hand with stopping people from stealing, but I don't see why that's necessary now that they can't be gripped or taunted. And like you said there's no apparent reason for it.

I've so far only have had Krasarang reset on me and I don't know why. I had a lookout grouped with me and even though I told him not to bother getting into combat he did, pulled aggro, and then it just started evading and reset even though he was in melee. Tried again, other guy jumped in again and this time didn't pull aggro, but it reset again after several minutes. The entire time we weren't any further from the spawn point than the beach just to the north.

well I had the same a couple of times

And most of the time it seemed to happened because I had no pressure damage on it (no ticking dots and the like) and I was at max ranged.
so it appear to be similar to normal mobs if you dont damage them and your out of range so they cant hit you for a couple of seconds they reset.

so now i just make sure I have as much dots up and ticking all the time.
