She wasn't too bad but that situation up there ^ well..that was one of the reasons I got thrown through a loop with her.Wain wrote:Love itDoctress wrote:Case in point..
(I love Matt though, he's so adorable. Deserved MUCH better than River)
Though I've really enjoyed River's character. She's... unexpected, weird, off-beat. And when he referred to her as "Mrs Robinson" I couldn't stop laughing.

Re: The Twelfth Doctor
Yeah I think I remember the thing with the master actually (he's my fav 'sci fic" villian next to Servalan from Blakes 7) i didn't like how they made him the "last Time Lord" too, a big part of the old series was the Time Lords trying to keep the Dr in check (they never could ofcourse) and even stuck him on the high council at one point lol! I also find the last of anything abit cliché but thats just me.Wain wrote:The twelve regenerations thing isn't just fan theory. I remember from the old series that the Master had already used up all his and was circumventing it by stealing the bodies or life energies of others.
Actually, rather than my poor memory, lemme check Wikipedia....
I'm certain they'll find ways of keeping the Doctor regenerating for as long as they want. When they first created the "twelve regenerations" thing, it must have seemed impossibly far off that they'd ever have to deal with this. But the solution would be trivial compared to a lot of the weird things that have happened in the Whoniverse. It was first stated in The Deadly Assassin[20] that a Time Lord can regenerate twelve times before dying (thirteen incarnations in all). There were exceptions to this rule, however: when the Master reached the end of his regenerative cycle, he took possession of the body of another person to continue living. In "The Five Doctors", the Master was offered a new cycle of regenerations by the High Council to save the Doctor from the Death Zone, which may indicate that there are methods to circumvent the twelve regeneration limit. The Master says in "The Sound of Drums" that the Time Lords "resurrected" him to fight in the Time War, which appears to support this. It was revealed in "The Brain of Morbius" that the Time Lords also use the Elixir of Life in extreme cases, where regeneration is not possible.
It seems a good way to kill off a series though, only giving him 13 lives (i think the movie dude shouldn't count tbh). All good things must come to an end eventually though

Well, there is the thing we found out at the end of the last season that may affect that too!Castile wrote:It seems a good way to kill off a series though, only giving him 13 lives (i think the movie dude shouldn't count tbh). All good things must come to an end eventually though

I have been re-watching Doctor who over the last few months (so much goodness to watch), and I have to say that you are missing a whole season, when you said that "A woman has never been allowed to be the true hero".........
All of season 4 is packed full of Donna saving the Doctor, and the whole season leads up to her being the most important person in the whole universe. Now what I loved about this season again is that Donna doesnt think she is important at all, she really doesnt think much of herself and in the end she is the most important. I finished this season today with my daughter who is 13, and she said to me after it was over that you should always think your the most important. I think thats a pretty good message to pass onto girls. And incase anyone forgot the season i speak of check out this funny revamp.............
