50% i kinda like the bit about not being able to fly
50% i kinda hate it tbh

but it would stop the bots farming crap
as well as its gona be a pita to get around things n such or if your lazy there that option 2 lol.

and what slickrock said :

No fly in Barradin Hold.
No fly in Molten Front.
No fly on Isle of Giants.
No fly on Isle of Thunder.
No fly on Timeless Isle.
not a surprise.

if you played through 2004- to now, you basicly get used to it and dont really care whatnot if you can or not fly in the next exp.

aswell as once wod starts and the lvl 100s hit there will be alot of bitch fits/ect - and maby they will alow it. either way idc if we do or not, dosent seem to trouble me at all tbh

No flying doesn't bother me much. Flying does make things easier...actually to easy to be honest. I love the view from flying and the ease of getting from place to place, but...I do miss the scenery of the ground and the sense of exploration.

As someone that started during vanilla as well, ironically all those no flying zones you listed annoyed the hell out of me and never where able to hold my interest for long.
Personally I am not looking forward to perm no flight in Wod I don't mind being grounded during leveling I am not looking forward to be forced on the ground permanently in Draenor
coupling that with the TI structure I am already not to fond of seeing TI already bore me out within a month, no draenor archeology to fall back on as well (because no way I am going to do that on foot in the current implementation) that leaves raiding and maybe some challenge modes well and Hydras then :S

Seems this is going to be my first Xpac I am not stoked for.

I will still play/try it out but as it seems now I am not going to be on a ongoing sub (might sub here and there).

That was there original idea but looking at some tweets and those dev coolers lately they even seem to be backpedaling from adding flight after patch 6.x (Taking a watch and see approach)

That's why there's quite some uproar atm..

On the other hand, if thet never add flying, and design a zone like the Vale that's a pain to get in and out of on the groud (or Sholozar) that could be a real issue. Esp on pvp servers.

Well looking at the minimap alpha version
The zone Talador looks like a pain to navigate through quite a bit of water small patches of land with connected bridges aka Swamp of sorrow style >_>

Gorgond not sure about that one there seem to be a lot of ridges but I don't really see any roads there
Tanaan also not sure I see quite a bit of ridges aka feralas style and no openly defined paths.

Spire looks okeish relatively flat open fields with some barren like hills

Regarding flying and archeology... Mists-level rarity of items would be doable but annoying with no flying. Tol'vir level rarity can go diaf without flying.

Other question would be how many races and how scattered they are. If all the spawn points are on the other side of the map, you are hosed without flying.

Don't forget about flight paths...those poor fat taxi's have had little to no exercise since flying mounts took off (so to speak). It's not like we will be completely restricted to running the ground to get everywhere.

They have to have comically small wings in proportion to their bodies too!

Just because a lot of the end tier zones are no fly zone, doesn't mean they are liked and enjoyed by everyone.

As someone who's played since vanilla, it doesn't really bother me to be ground-bound. However, I think people are so used to it now that it would be unwise to take it away completely for this xpac. I could live without it, but that doesn't mean everyone else can (nor am I saying they should just because I could).

I seriously doubt it would be taken away completely and not re added. I mean it's like a step backwards to go from flying everywhere else to being grounded in the new continent. It will prob be like as Cow said - grounded until patch 6.blah. They just don't want ppl zooming through content so they can fly and flood the ah with expensive mats/deny those still lvling a chance to gather their own.

I never said loved. I just said that with all those no-fly zones, this change should not be a surprise.
