Re: Patch 11.2.0
Yes, I’ve seen it flying around. No, it isn’t tamable. Unless it is something like what is already in Lesser Dragonkin - an animal that happens to have more draconic features, then Blizz isn’t likely to make it tamable.

The bugs aren’t tamable. All that I’ve seen are Aberrations. The rocs are tamable.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
I agree about the disappointing pet department, although this patch is not the friendliest when it comes to tameable beasts, it still offers more than the last few patches, this is on par with Zereth mortis where the new creatures are cool and all, but nothing super exciting, I’m sold on the razorwing and new warp stalker.Talihawk wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 8:59 am Is that it for the new beasts? A handful of yet more bugs, worms and reptiles? Another fox and the armored ox that uses the pug-nosed squashed bodied mono-horn stag skeleton? I saw there's a void dragon rare or elite roaming about, has anyone encountered it and seen if it's listed as dragonkin and potentially tameable? This whole expansion has been so disappointing in the pet department.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
I wouldn't get attached to the Razorwings just yet. While it's WAY overdue and it's about time they stopped forgetting about them, we don't know if they're intended considering the few we can tame are in different families. Obviously, the correct thing would be for all of them to be flagged properly, but we need to wait and see. Make sure you voice your feedback in the PTR though; while it's a known fact Blizzard doesn't read any reports, there could be one bored dev who sees we want those beasts!

Re: Patch 11.2.0
One of them retains their name so it's possible they are intended, it just needs an attack animation, on another note, I found a rare tamable new voidstalker, idk if its specific to phases or not, since it didnt have an effect when i tamed it in the phase
Edit - I found the tameable K’arrocs, since they are only shades, you have to play color roulette since target icons are also phased, they come in red and yellow-

Re: Patch 11.2.0
Excellent, I was worried the void ones were stuck being fake pets to the bad guys. They were all over in the new delve. Not too happy that it's another rare, but oh well. Surely I'll get lucky and find it on an off day when people aren't murdering it mid-tame.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
Hopefully and soon enough, they should add other colors to the new warp stalker model, there was one quest where a new one transformed into an old one with a different color, They are pretty cool to run around with, and they aren’t gigantic like salamanthers when tamed, which I like

Re: Patch 11.2.0
I found that voidstalker last night. It is located in the phase dive version of K'aresh.
As for the Razorwings, I'm leaning toward them being placeholders for K'arrocs. The initial Eco-Domes are meant to be places that keep what remains of K'aresh's species alive. Yes, we do populate The Oasis later with beasts from Azeroth, but initially they are things from K'aresh. The name for one of the tamable Razorwings, Gore Beak, isn't very fitting for Razorwings since they don't have beaks. The purple ones in the same area are called Death Scavengers. Razorwings are predators, not scavengers.
Also, I wouldn't count on the Thorntails and Slatebacks in the domes to be tamable. They are meant to be all that remains of their species and are protected.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
I'll admit I still wish the new warp stalker model was a bit more faithful to the original one, different body shape and horn shapes give them a different feel, but I'd love to see them updated with all of the original colours nonetheless. I'm not gonna be choosy if it means new warp stalkers after all these years.worgpower wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 12:47 pm Hopefully and soon enough, they should add other colors to the new warp stalker model, there was one quest where a new one transformed into an old one with a different color, They are pretty cool to run around with, and they aren’t gigantic like salamanthers when tamed, which I like

Re: Patch 11.2.0
Although they look closer to the concept art, they could of used large spikes in their body and slightly closer to the shoulders because I thought the big spike were shoulders on the old model, one thing I hated about the old model was that slow motion runVephriel wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 6:21 pmI'll admit I still wish the new warp stalker model was a bit more faithful to the original one, different body shape and horn shapes give them a different feel, but I'd love to see them updated with all of the original colours nonetheless. Re: Patch 11.2.0
It does make sense, but I still question how there are also gromits in the zone, it’s not in the shadowlands or anything, maybe they are also placeholders for something that hasn’t been implemented, for the death scavengers, they can get a rename to make it have more sense to belong there, I swore razorwings had a upper beak, similar to turtle beaks except for the shape of course, gromits and razorwings being there make as much sense as the krolusks, they were definitely brought by the brokers and escaped from TazaveshValnaaros wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 6:10 pm I found that voidstalker last night. Re: Patch 11.2.0
It's definitely just a personal preference of mine, again, I don't want to nitpick it because I'm grateful we're seeing that model get used at all, I'm just extremely picky with pet model revamps and there's some details that just don't quite feel like the originals and I prefer the old face shape and body stance overall.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
Yeah, I like the new model, but I agree it would be wrong for a model replacement. It's a great take for a brand new series of warpies, however! Very lean and sinewy.Vephriel wrote: ↑Thu Jun 19, 2025 7:59 pmIt's definitely just a personal preference of mine, again, I don't want to nitpick it because I'm grateful we're seeing that model get used at all, I'm just extremely picky with pet model revamps and there's some details that just don't quite feel like the originals and I prefer the old face shape and body stance overall.

Re: Patch 11.2.0
Yeah they shouldn’t replace the old ones at all, warp stalkers needed more options since forever, we only got the void one towards the end of BFA (for everyone else, void elves had the void stalker, and I swore they had their own family in the beginning called void stalker) this is probably will be the first time I will obtain two pets with one model since early DF, I will tame both new warp stalkers in a heartbeat, my dark ranger character will definitely tame up the new void stalker to pair with my old one
