I saw this Elite Turtle guy in Hyjal and I wish we could tame him.... SO epic. He was named "Nemesis" =)

Also there were "normal" looking Core Hounds in Hyjal that were beasts but couldn't be tamed I noticed.

Thanks Highwind Yeah, since that guy doesn't look exactly natural, I'm not sure whether to add him or not. He is an awesome-looking beast, though.

Wow, great pics! So these weren't "ridingtigerskinxxx" versions of the regular skins, these were actually the regular skins mapped to the riding tiger model?

If so, I had no idea that was possible. I'm pretty sure WMV doesn't offer them as options for the other model. And I wonder if there's any difference between, say, "tigerskinsnow" mapped to the riding tiger model and "ridingtigerskinsnow". If not, I wonder why they even created separate skins for them.

A lot of skins in WoW are interchangeable, as they use the same basic "style." Other pets skins that can be changed are owls/eagles and worgs/wolves (although a worg skin on the wolf model makes their eyes look super tiny).

With the cats, there is no difference between say TigerSkinRed.blp and RidingTigerSkinRednosaddle.blp files. They probably renamed the skins to better map the skin to the model, to avoid confusion of linking the same skin name to different models.

Araga's old skin was the same as the LionSkinGold.blp file, just renamed to LionessSkinGold.

Shy-Rotam is there all the time now, so that skin is safe. It's her mate, Sian-Rotam that seems to be having trouble spawning. She still gives emotes about calling for him, suggesting it's a bug.

The rare spawn Rak'Shiri shares the same skin as Shy and still exists in the beta as well.
