I nabbed him today on the PTR about 5 hours ago or so on the PvE US server.

He is a nice looking owl. I will more than likely go after him as soon as I nab the green Madexx that has been eluding me for so long.

I wish he was just a little bit brighter though.

Gah. I've decided I want him, so I go to camp him (usually I don't have to camp the older rare pets) but this is serious business. D: There are at least 2 other hunters here. I'm sad, but determined. Yes, I'm one of those hunters who tames and then hangs around for a bit to show I got it... I wish this worgen would stop hovering over me. e_e

Quick note to all you Olm hunters, don't know if questing in the zone affects this, but he CAN and WILL phase in and out. I had found him pretty much where Kalliope's map above says she is. However, he phases out when you are in the area called "Irontree Clearing" on your map, and then he phases back in when you are in "Irontree Woods". Luckily, i realized this rather fast, stood in the Woods, and waited for him to pat close enough to get him.

Not sure if its been brought up, but if it hasn't im sure this is useful knowledge.

Oh wow, didn't realize that. My friend had zero trouble taming him from where she was standing, a bit south of where my marker on the map is. Had no idea there were phasing troubles. If nothing else, that marked spot appears to be safe.

I was happy to see that my server came up a full two hours early yesterday, so I took a chance and went to tame Olm.

He was sitting there, waiting for his new family.

The most amazing thing I can say is that - all due respect to some of the beautiful pics people have submitted - so far, no picture truly does him justice. The crystalline translucency is absolutely gorgeous.

Since the thread's been bumped anyway, I shall mention that I spotted Olm last night in about the same general area as usual, but not near any of the trees - just a completely open area with one of the shredders pathing around in the background. I was pretty sure that location's been covered, and he'll certainly be seen if you're hanging around other spawn points, so I didn't take a screenshot. >_< Still, decided to mention it anyway, just in case.

The Felwood light doesn't do him many favors, but get him into more neutral or bluish light, and he looks lovely. :>

ok, so i'm new to this board. . . i was reading all ur posts on some of the hard to find tames and figured i check out Olm

i expected to not find him cuz i did a /who and there were 4 ali hunters and myself. anyway, i land at the fp and fly around the corner to the suspected spawn spot and there is Olm just chillin. so yea, wow my first time ever even going to look for him and i get him my first try

i havent noticed if anyone else was in Perenolde but just incase there are and someone has been searching for him. i grabbed him up at 23:25 est time.

So, I just wanted to make it known, I recently snagged my Olm and have not done all the quests in Felwood. I know I had read somewhere that it was said you have to do all the quests so you aren't phased from Olm but I found him just fine and have ran into him a couple times since then. [:
