Especially when they're like 3rd or 4th place DPS... it's like... why? Are you trying to rub your own nose in it? Or just trying to be all brief and cryptic*... or something?

At least when the person is #1 it makes sense. I don't do that myself as I find it kind of annoying and rude, at least when you're around people you don't know, but if the facts support the statement, then at least it has some sort of merit...

*Which reminds me of another peeve - sick of people talking in vague, hyper-abbreviated sentence fragments. It's not intriguing or insightful, it's just pretentious and usually conceals a lack of content. X(

Bad groups.

Bad groups upset me. Not 'low DPS, some issues tanking/healing' groups. I can handle those. I even offer advice and encouragement where I can and suggest strategies to get over the humps. No, it's the groups where you've got the mage that decides to pull everything (and at the end posts Recount before quitting to show off how 'awesome' he is), the tank that is wearing neither shoulders nor chest because 'oh, I left those heirlooms on my other tank' and is in Ret spec (without changing that when it's mentioned to him) and the ever-changing line of DPS that keep joining, dropping, joining, dropping...

They were likely smart, honestly.

Either way...just because it's pre-Cata content and we can 'blow through it', that doesn't mean we -should-. Let the tank be the one to tank (which includes pulling), otherwise how are they going to know what to do when they are at Cata level? The same with CC. DPS that can CC should be encouraged to do so, because it's practice.

People do not improve without practice...so show some patience and let others get that in.

Agreed. Though it's better to offer friendly advice on boss strategies and such (as you do) than to just drop group without a single word. Now, if the person refuses to listen to the advice, then yeah bailing is the only remaining option.

Just as you say, people do not improve without practice - yet so many (not you, this is a general statement) seem to be filled with a smoldering rage at the thought that this might be a person's first run of a dungeon... as though they themselves never had a first run.

I'm not talking about people who simply don't know how to play their class by lvl 85 - if a paladin is tanking at 85 with some leather pieces, or a hunter is doing all his fighting in melee, then any advice would be wasted...

But for example on Throne of Tides, just because hunters have tranq shot doesn't mean they know in advance that it needs to be used on the water elementals else they can wipe the group; that's where a pre-emptive "hunter tranq the elementals" would be a lot more productive than alot of dramatic posing and /facepalming AFTER the wipe... that kind of thing.

Oh yeah. Definitely agreed. I try to help first and if they wanna be a total dumbass and not listen, then I get bitchy about it and usually leave.

Or the rester druid in dps caster CLOTH heirlooms that told me he doesn't give a shit when I told him he's gipping himself his armor specialty and in turn gipping the group of better heals and less wipes.

For some reason my router stopped working...I think maybe it's overheating, but I am not sure...so now I have just the one computer hooked up to internet...I hope that leaving the router unplugged and let it cool will solve the "issue".
I dont mind things not working every now and then...but i really hate not being able to fix them!

fail troll run, get stuck on the dragonhawk boss (4 wipes), people standing in fires and not killing birds. Healer was a druid with 7k mana, every tank we got was a dk (which isnt a bad thing...but the first 2 were squishy) 3rd was alright. Warrior dps kept standing in fire...Healer decided to ask my I am not spamming multi-shot, I explain I am BM and 2 MS' and I am dry, asks for my OS, I say surv but I never use it, healer calls me fail. I decide to bring out my corehound (chromaggus) in the hopes that a hero will buy us the umph we need...healer asks if its Chrom, I say yes, they call me a noob and then leaves party...then group just fell apart after that...

Now I am all confused...I hate mean people...

Apparently the city has decided to level the nice patch of undeveloped land right outside my back fence and combine several rec centers around town into one giant,expensive,POORLY LOCATED monstrosity.
So not only will I have to deal with even more wankers messing with my dog and house,a lot of nice fruit/nut trees will be cut down,all the kids who go to the other centers around town will have to get a ride here instead of walking there,and the city will have to run in utility lines through a quiet residential area NOT BUILT FOR HEAVY TRAFFIC.
There's also a 10 foot deep drainage ditch around the sides of the field not blocked by houses,the anchor lines to the radio tower are in the middle of the field and can't be moved,and there are NO decent access points for a big enough road.

And not once did they ask the opinion of anyone who actually lives here.Probably because every time they crap out some stupid plan that's guaranteed to waste money and land everyone tells them to stop it.But they always go ahead with it anyway...

It turns out I don't like the area I moved to. I've been here for about sixish months and I just don't like it here. I did join a nice gym where I've been working out every other day for a while now but I think me and my friend are going to move somewhere else. I just want to find a place to live where it doesn't snow and has stuff to do. There's stuff to do here but I just don't really like this area. I have no real attachment to anywhere and want to find a place I can feel like I belong in.

having a life, and missing out on "fun stuff" in both wow and pokefarm because of it...Why do I always get "punished" for having a life?
Also...had yet another Shtty run in a troll dungeon...by the end of it there were 12 names on recount...and only 2 (myself and healer) where there from start-finish. Random dps just leaving, tank getting to first boss then leaving, another tank coming in, stood there for 10sec and then leaves...another tank comes, we get boss down. Get to point where we kill boulder rolling giant troll, kill him, dps random drops...tank stands there when we get a new one and doesn attack, or do anything but run back and forth, dps get impatient, a few leave...tank refuses to reque...5min later...finally able to kick, kick tank...wait for new tank and dps...this group gets to 4th boss before next dps random drops, then finally we get finishing group...Healer and are where headbanging our desks at the stupidity of it.

though some good things happened. I got my VP for my 2nd piece of 378(?) gear, pants. In dungeon i'd skinned a pristine hide, yay, and used that along with mats for the epic leg enchant.
And the troll run just before this hellrun, we'd beat the timer and i won the bear mount!!

Its been a shitty rainy misserable day with a few bright spots...Now I am going to go nurse my cold.
