They'll eventually get bored of it but I really wish there was some way to trace their connections and send them some kind of CPU-melter code. That'll teach em. Probably take 'em a year to save up their lunch money for another computer.

someday I'll find someplace to host a sig that isn't stupid money-grubbing photobucket

There is a way to trace everything. How easy or hard it is depends.

What the hell body?! It's been 8 years since you last did this. To anyone who is curious, 8 years ago I'd wake up every night for a few weeks with the sensation of someone tickling my lower back, sending what I can only describe as electrical currents through the spinal cord there. I'd be unable to move or vocalise what pain and discomfort I felt and it'd go on for a few minutes before my body shrugged off sleep completely.

So, this morning, at around 4:30am I wake up to the same sensations. The pain would pulse, getting worse before it'd flare up and die down again. A few seconds later, it'd start again. For around five to ten minutes I laid there, completely unable to move or vocalise anything, screaming mentally for someone to come and help me. Eventually it stops and I still feel unable to vocalise. I can move, but I'm numb. My lower back, where the pain had been, just ached. It still does now, 3 hours later.

Stupid body.

I get that sometimes. What it amounts to is a pinched nerve or nerve pathway. Somehow, the way you're sleeping is compressing one or more neural pathways; maybe not so much that you're going numb, but the rippling skin-tickle and pain is still evidence of the nerve way decompressing. It could also be that one of your neural paths is just a bit too close to a bone or joint so when you lay on it just right(wrong) it squashes it a little. You might do well to see a chiropractor; it can help a lot. But be sure you do a lot of research because not all chiros are the same and a bad one will do more harm than good.

Nacht, thanks for the info. I'll check out those people, although I'd rather not have to go to any doctors about it unless I'm 100% sure that I need to go. Something about people knowing all my problems just creeps me out...

Thanks Kayro. And sorry I'm back so soon with another rant but...

This ice bucket fad is getting on my nerves now. Yes, let's tip freezing cold water over our heads to prevent donating to charity! Woo! Or then just donate anyway because that's what you're actually meant to do. It started with celebrities but now it's just everyone. And no one's actually donating anymore either. They're just tipping water (which isn't even ice water anymore from what I've seen, just normal water) over their heads because it's now the 'in' thing to do. And I hate it when that happens. And besides, if anyone nominated me, I'm not doing it. Because if I had the money to donate, I'd donate to a charity of my own choosing, thank you very much. (I already was doing monthly donations but had to quit for a while when my boyfriend moved in with me and my finances weren't so sturdy.) And I'm not tipping a bucket of water over my head because it's now trendy.

I'm sorry, I know it's all for a good cause, it's raised a lot of money, etc. But that was mainly back when celebrities, people who can actually afford to donate, were doing it. Now everyone and their mum is doing it, not donating and spamming my Facebook feed full of stupid videos. It was the same as the Neck Nomination or whatever it was called when people were drinking beer and jumping into lakes and then later mixing the beer in with other random shit and downing it. They weren't donating money to charity, they were doing it because it was cool and all their friends were doing it. I just HATE trends.

... my grumpy old age is showing I'M ONLY 22

Okay! I learned a lesson today! When it's HOT AS HELL and HUMID AS HELL and you feel like you're going to die just by walking outside, a BAD IDEA is biking two miles on really hilly roads.

What happens, you see, is that if you're me, and that's the first time you've exercised in months and you're mega weak, you'll almost get heat stroke and need to lie down on some random stranger's lawn while you try to not throw up.

Good to know.

Oh God...I'm so sorry Senna. I feel your pain. Just...don't look at it. Don't go near it. Don't even sniff at it. Get all your belongings and high-tail it outta that Josie and summon all pest control and PURGE IT!!!!

Snowy, I know what you mean. It was like that "no makeup selfie". Now, I won't rant about my feelings towards make-up. But when I first heard of it I was like "Wait...so because everyone looks like slutty ducks when they take selfies they think smiling and having no makeup during one is a gift to Charity?! Bitch please the only pictures I take are without makeup. I don't wear makeup."

Sorry for the cursing...I'm tired and cold and WHY AM I HAVING SHAKING FITS GOOD LORD BODY STAHP THIS!

Kayro - Is your blood sugar low? I get the shakes when I forget to eat. It can be aggravated by being cold because your body's using extra calories to stay toasty. Also chiropractors aren't really doctors. XD They just want to know where the problems are and what you might've done to yourself to cause them.

Osteopaths (D.O.) used to do manipulation (i.e. popping your back) and were generally a bit better than chiropractors but most D.O.s these days are more like general practicioners and don't do the hands on stuff anymore.

If they're not donating, they're doing it wrong. The whole point was Ice/water on your head = $10 donation or if you don't do it, you donate $100.

I know Junrei, that's my problem. People aren't doing it to promote the cause or to donate, they're doing it because all their friends are.

In fact the main reason I was even set off on a rant about it in the first place is because my sister who's on holiday just posted a video of herself doing it... very badly. The idea of the ice bucket challenge and why it's done the way it is is because pouring a bucket of ice cold water over your head is meant to make your entire body numb, to know the effects of ALS. And here's my sister (and many others like her who are only doing it because it's fucking popular to do), in her swimsuit on a warm beach, pouring normal tap water over her head that didn't even slightly look cold. And there's no way in heck she donated either. Either post the stupid video AND donate or do neither.

Here's a nice little thing that sums up my feelings exactly: http://imgur.com/gallery/3otUL

Psh. She did it very wrong so yeah. I can see why it pisses you off. Not so much the challenge itself but people just screwing it up and not actually doing the challenge correctly. I'd make her redo it. When my fiance did it, it wasn't warm outside. It was grey and icky. So no sunlight. Also we got a big bag of ice and a big bucket so that water was ice cold. He still donated too.

As long as you donate it should not matter how you do it. I mean in the long run pouring some ice water on your head wont do anything for people with ALS but the donating would.

That's my 2 cents.

Nachtwulf--I don't think I had low blood sugar then, or if I have low blood sugar normally. Then again, I don't have those check ups at doctors or anything so I wouldn't know. On the other hands if I'd had low blood sugar, I would've thought I'd noticed it by now. Perhaps not.

Wait...this ALS bucket challenge is a way to give money? I literally thought it was a tag or something that others could give you and you'd pour ice cold water over your body. Never knew you had to give money. See? Shows how it went from giving money to just becoming something people do in the summer now  Charity tags and donations never go well. People will just make it fun somehow and 'forget' to donate while others may not even know they have to donate.
