Wow. I had someone message me about a dragon i hatched that was their b-day ID. They offered like 100k. I sold it to them for either 10 or 15 I can't remember. It was a dragon with newer genes poi/tox. I wasn't going to gouge them. That'd be wrong.

I must admit my friends are evil when it comes to charging non petopians for their b-day dragon.. some of the mafia have exalted a b-day dragon because they did not get 40k for it..... so yeah.. shame on them

I would never gouge someone if I had their bday dragon, and that's why when I've sent the messages asking about these dragons, I never mentioned why I wanted them to keep people from trying to gouge me.

Someone messaged Anaiya because she had their dragon, the genes on it were pretty meh, and they offered a lot of money. She sent it to em for her AH asking price of 6kt.

And no offense, I think exalting the dragon out of spite is just rude and downright mean.

Urg, my glimmer fund went fast when I ended up buying a bunch of apparel. It's not pretty when I'm looking for 3 glimmer scrolls. ARG. I'm not all too fond of spending rl money on this site anymore either for the gems. >.<

When you prepay for something and then have to nag and nag and nag and nag to get it done.. and sometimes you dont even get a reply even though you can see the dragons being fed... grrr .

I should really learn NOT to be so generous and pay ppl in advance...

part of the problem is that new gene just doesn't appeal to a lot of people they were too heavy handed with it.

So what Syleye said It's a marmite kind of gene - you either hate it, or love it. I personally feel it works on about 5% of dragons who have it - unlike butterfly which looks amazing on about 95% (I think this is why butterfly has continued to hold it's value weeks after release - yes it's a gem gene, but it's still commanding some silly prices compared to others; I was able to buy a few facet dragons within the first week of release, multiple butterfly dragons continue to be a dream).

I literally make treasure only by selling off all the stuff I've hoarded for years - it's so sad as I had hoped to hold onto it forever (I like hoarding) - but I can't see any other way when you need cash (the fairegrounds and coliseum just don't work for me with my disability).

I'm also seriously considering doing a huge G1 lair purge. Too many people are after the same colors as I am lately and I'm sick and tired of missing out because I'm either at work or dealing with my father's declining health.

Ah doesn't help that you seem to be known around the seller circle, I see so many people trying to rip you off and it sucks, but your lair is sooooooo beautiful!

I hear you. I do end up paying more than most because I'm known to collect only obs/red-range G1s. Also, a big thanks to you for always helping me out. You're the one person who collects the same colors as I do that doesn't bother me. I may get jealous of your luck from time to time though. But I just want to say thank you for always being kind. You and Tarn really are great! ♥

Which colors are you looking for? I can keep my eye out! I've managed to snipe a few here and there. (I really need to re-open my sniping shop one of these days when things settle down a bit and I have more time).
