Yay, a pretty kitty! I'll work on that as soon as I can. I have that cat in Saber Cat form, but it'll be nice to see its "original" form.

My report on Brown Scarab Beetle .

I flew off to Uldum, heading to Neferset City. When I got there, I realized that I was phased from questing, so I would have to rty find another location that these guys hang out in. I ended up finding some near HoO, so I landed and set up my ice trap under a beetle, who nicely swung around to get icecubed.


I dubbed him Abram pretty quickly and started giving him a look over. I think the scarab beetle models are beyond cute, even though I don't really like bugs. I'm a fan of this model, since it's overall it's good. It's a little angular, but that works for them. The biggest flaw is the blurry/fuzzy look of the shell on the neck of the beetle. The brown skin isn't my favorite of the bunch, but it is a nice, neutral, non-garish color. The skin is mostly brown with chalky tan color, and a few yellow accents on the shell. His undersides seem to be a purplish-brown color, and has some yellow eyes that match his color. He has a sorta grumpy looking face, but that makes him even cuter to me. (Sorry, have to ignore Frankie again in the pics)



Abram has a nice animation, nothing buggy really. His swimming animation is his regular walking animation though, which is a shame. When idle, he is constantly moving his antenna and mouth parts(no clue to the name ). He will also twist to the side to look while raising up his body and antenna. They are an quiet pet while idling. They make a faint tip-tip-tap sound when running along side, which is lovely to hear actually. He makes a swiping and kind of buggy hiss sounds while fighting, but nothing too noisy.
I tried to get a photo of the idle twist, but didn't get a good one.


When it comes to fighting, he's a ehh dps. Beetles do a little fold or scrunch like attack when fighting which is nice to watch. Since Abram is tenacity, they aren't the best dps, but he is a wonderful tank. He held aggro fine when those instant respawn spiders in Tb attacked, and any damage he did take was quickly healed with a Mend Pet. His special ability, Harden Carapace, is all for tanking. It's a wonder ability when he is tanking solo or even with a group. Abram would even be a good temporary tank if a group's tank died.

I adore the scarab beetles, so Abram is staying with me even though I have a light blue scarab beetle named Sherman already.

Bell, I love the personality Frankie brings to your photos. That little bird knows how to steal the spotlight and send me into fits of giggles. Especially on the first photo with him in it, he's staring at the beetle like "Mom, what's that thing and why is it following us?"

When I was in level range to get SM from the LFD, I used to run with my tamed Mazzanache, Bugsy. Well, it was pretty normal for Frankie to run off into the group of trash while we were fighting, and I would always wonder how many tanks I scared. He's a character alright, one of my favorite mini pets.

Snow leopard report!

Finding him was pretty easy, and it's no great challenge at 80. I didn't need to go to Dun Moroh at all, but instead headed to Zul'drak and picked up a nice leopard there.



For low levels, he's a tough to get pet.
Anyway. First look, his appearance is very nice. Though it's not my favorite model, I really like the skin. A very bright white with soft spots that looks nice in most lighting. I really like his claws, actually - they're a nice light blueish white, and it's very appealing. His eyes are also pretty, dark green.



I did notice a few errors, though. Look at his legs! The green arrows represent legs that look fairly natural, the red represents legs that look broken.



Also, his nose looks weird, as well as his eyebrows. His nose is flat and wide, very unlike most big cats. His eyebrows stick way out, covering his eyes almost completely. It looks very strange.



As for idles, he sways his head from side to side and yawns.


Nothing special here...


Aww, that's cute. He digs his claws into the dirt. Ohhh wait...


What's with those TEETH? They're just a block that has teeth drawn in!

His run animation is very nice, smooth and natural. I love how he lopes along.



As for attacks, it's pretty boring, but what you'd expect from a cat. He swipes with his paws. There are two animations, one for his left paw and one for his right. Each time his head juts forward and he snarls at the mob.





Here's something interesting - Claw has an animation, a bloody rip. Adds a little flavor to a battle.



Finally, swimming. Idle he looks a bit... derp. look at his face... I'm not sure if he got stung or if he's amazed by a fish.



Swimming is cute, but boring. Not nearly as interesting as Ravagers.



Oh, and apparently all his fluffy fur makes him float really high in the water...



In combat, he's a very nice DPS pet. He's ferocity, and his special skill, the stat-boosting roar, is adored by many groups. Prowl I always have turned off, as it takes too long for my pet to get to an enemy with it. He's not the best tank out there, but I'm so used to cats that I forgive it.

Overall, not my pet. I don't like the old cat model. I much prefer my snow leopard saber...



But, of course, I can't have any cat out for long, because my dear Faron DEMANDS that he's the pet of choice. He looks much better with Vallrok, anyway.

Tårnfalks report :

I tamed Rain in Vahshir. He has really pretty moving swimming animation, but the still one.. hehe he looks like a puppet



I love warpstalkers, but one small detail borthers me. The neck and the head is beuatifull scaled, but when he does his turn head animation, it looks wird where the neck pattern stop and the blue non pattern start




Look at that face!! How adorable isnt he I love how the eyes shine their pretty blue color. And his sharp teeth seams to indicate that he is smiling




THe tail is a bit.. well undetailed? just something there that i cant seam to put the finger on



A closer look at his beuatifull coloration and patterns. I specially like the ligth blue stripe there seams to go from the top of his head to his tail





Did some dailyes. The warpstalker is an awesome tanker, and Rain handled himself really well despit his "low" lvl





Conclussion, Rain is very pretty, and warpstalkers is an awesome pet. If you havent tried a warpstalker.. you should!!! I love them. I will deffo tame Rain on an alt, but tårnfalk got the Purple one, and for that reason, Rain was released until i can find a permanent place for him on another hunter

Predatorias report on

Eazy enough pet to find to tame (thanks for not sending me half way around the world this time ), just took the birdie to if and then on horseback until i found the grey boars



These screenies were taken during the day, but the color is still soooooo boooooooring.. and the mane, the fur around the legs and tail are soo pixalted,. and is it me.. or does the ear just look terrible displaced??

Is hard to see in this light, but the eyes are to closely place to eachother, and he seams crookeyed, i just couldt zoom in that much



The run animation are very cute, his tail goes up into the air, and the snout goes out. Very adorable



The silent swimming animation on the other hand..... what have gone wrong here???



Luckily it looks alot better when the piglet moves in the water




conclusion: Piggies are very cute, they are moving around alot when they are idle, but its no great annoynes to me. The pixel problems is nothing that would annoy me to much, I find the grey color utterly boring though so this piggie is not staying in the stable

Tiger report!

Luckily, these tigers can be found easily. I found a random one in Stranglethorn, where they absolutely swarm the hills.



Now, I'm going to do a bit of copy-pasting from my old report... but I'll post new about this skin.
First off, it's pretty gorgeous. I love the bright, bright orange and dark stripes. It fades to a nice cream towards his belly and face. In the right lighting, he glows like fire. His claws aren't as pretty as the snow leopard claws, but they match his color scheme well.



And look at those eyes! I love his bright yellow and green eyes. His facial stripes are a bit low res, though.



Here's a closer look at one of his legs, which has a really lovely orange to cream fade. It looks amazing in good lighting, very bright and lively.

Ugh, not sure why I was being so lazy, but I finally got my report for Fiona done. She had .

I think I've been having a little bit too much fun in Photoshop with these, but anyway, being in Orgrimmar I opted to go tame one of these guys right off the coast of Durotar. Meet Cake, named in honor of Venjin's crab and because it fits Fiona's theme.


Looks:

When you start to take a close look at older crabs like Cake here, you start to notice that just about every texture on them is very low res. He's also very shiny and glossy looking, especially on the white parts between his shell. He has black accents on his shell and legs and at the tips of his pincers. His little eye stalks are cute. Overall, nothing really terrible about the model other than the low res texturing everywhere.

Animations and Sounds:

Cake has two idle animations, the first being the one on the top left where he swivels his eye stalks from side to side and chatters his mouth parts, and the second (top right) where he looks side to side using his whole body. He does a cute little scuttle for a run and when he swims, he propels himself with those big pincers. Crabs are quiet pets, not making too much of a peep even in combat.

Combat:

I apologize for the terrible combat shots. I apparently didn't really take many pictures of him in combat, and he was too low in level to get the pin ability.

As you can sort of see in the photos, for combat Cake swings his pincers at his enemy. He's tenacity so his damage is okay although not as good as a ferocity or cunning pet. Pin, the crab special, is an ability I'm typically not fond of, especially for BM hunters because, as Cialbi explained, casting Kill Command will interrupt/override any other ability your pet might be doing, which includes channeled abilities like Pin and Lock Jaw, effectively rendering them kind of useless. Fiona, however, is SV so I want to do some testing with Cake to see if Pin works out for SV as good as Cialbi made it sound like it does.

And since Ruffley's waiting on a pet theme challenge, I'll take rolls for different hunters this time.
