Just beast lore. We can't character copy right now, and it would take way too long (if not impossible) to be able to get the tome to tame them.

Aha, figured as much. I had tried to beat lore a few grand gryphons I found so far and got no result, so wasn't sure if there was a shortcut way put in that I had missed or something. Thank you!

A new Dark Hound variant was added today



Baby Octopuses were also added. They are adorable. Probably battle pets

That darkhound skin is excellent. I hope it's put on one of the two red rares, Rokad or Verek. Make it easier to grab without replacing one color entirely. I doubt it's a replacement for the current red, but still. As for the baby pirate octopi, I want them. ALL of them.

Well I did my normal after patch check to see if Ankylodons are tamable. And they have diets now, a step in the right direction.

Just found out my previously tamed Dazarian Stalker mistakenly lost its cat icon and abilities. I can't even rename it from the default "Cat" either. Wild Sabertusks still remain untameable as well. Sure hope that's an error that will be fixed later, it'd be such a cop out to not let us tame them.

We're one step forward with the bear turtles, two steps back with gorgonops. Quit trollin us, Blizz!

Yeah, Blizz does that to pets that they either don't want us to have or are not ready for us to have. For example, I tamed a Blood Troll early in the Alpha and he was apart of the Crab family. Obviously this wasn't intentional, so a few builds later he was basically destroyed as a pet. Couldn't dismiss him, couldn't heal him, and he wasn't viable for combat since he couldn't "Growl".

But I am fairly confident that Blizz will add Sabertusks and Ankylodons as pets. It'll probably be when they implement the new families.

The new darkhound skin isn't bad, though it's also oddly monochrome, which makes me wonder if it's been created for a special situation. hmmm.

I thought the run looked different, but didn't realize it was the Hyena's. Looks good

I checked all of the Red Dark Hound variants and none of them have been altered, and the Dark Iron Hunter still starts with the red variant. Either this model hasn't been implemented yet or it is tied to the Dark Iron Dwarf requisition questline.

The Dark Hound looks pretty cool, really. Especially now that it has the new run.
I think they really just need to give it a custom idle anim for it.

Major update on the Anklyodons; they got hit by the grammar police. Their names are now Ankylodon. Hooray!

Also, still not tameable. Not hooray!
