After reading all these posts, my heart goes out to you guys that had such a hard time.

It also made me realise how easy I have it. The Hunter community on my main server (Warsong) is pretty tight-knit (We Brazilians have to stick together with one another, when the rest of WoW seems to hate us ), even if I haven't rehomed a pet yet, I'm always willing to give advice and help out on other hunters camping.

My rant: I've been watching Pogeyan for the last 15 minutes for my best friend IRL. He was 4k xp away from getting to 28(he was 4 bars when I found her), wanting to tame her. Goblin mage just randomly runs past and kills her even though I emoted for them to stop.

I was on my alliance druid, helping a hunter friend try and tame Ban'thalos. He messes up the first time and forgets to trap. So I rez him, and he gets ready to try again. What happens? Some douchebag undead mage pulls Ban down and murders him right in front of us. Not because we were alliance, just because he could, apparently. As much as I love mages, assholes like that give us bad names.

Also, Deathwing torched Uldum when my friend was in the middle of taming red Madexx. Curse you, evil dragon!

Some douchebag undead mage pulls Ban down and murders him right in front of us. Not because we were alliance, just because he could, apparently. As much as I love mages, assholes like that give us bad names.

Also, Deathwing torched Uldum when my friend was in the middle of taming red Madexx. Curse you, evil dragon!

So after a short trip to Vashjir, I had my hearthstone on cooldown and had to wait either 20 minutes or wait for someone to summon me. While I was waiting I thought "what the hell" and went to check if Ghostcrawler was up. Guess what. He was. I quickly dismissed my faithful Ghamoo-Ra and hit tame... and forgot he's level 85 and I'm still 84. /headdesk If I know life, I will now probably never see him again until next expansion, or later.

So sick, watch'd a allie (Im horde) druid (Krony) pull Deth'tilac back to the quest givers area to kill her. I had been trying for an hour to find someone who might want to home her and came back to check on her to find him draging her up the hill to the area and there was nothing I could do but think mean thoughts at him (ya I know petty to think mean thoughts but it made me so mad he was killing her just because he could). And the sad part was an allie hunter came in and ran around her try to tame her despretly and was yelling something but could do nothing, they even cried when she died and left...I felt so bad for them.

I just dont understand why anyone thinks they need to kill something that gives no achivment, no loot, no honor, no xp...nothing actually. I mean for a 85 to kill something clearly made for a spicific class to tame for a tear worth 25g...how disgusting. I find rares on my other char (and my hunter) and if I cant find it a home (or lead a allie to it to tame it, which I have done) I leave it be so someone eles can find it and home it.

Sorry still so angry about watching her be killed knowing there are many who would love to have her.

I am so sorry, as a horde I will not bother any hunter tameing something..allie or my own, its evil to do that. I hope your freind finds they pretty bird again and gets to bring him/her home.

Oh, he did today. After he helped my HORDE hunter find and tame King Krush, I found Ban'thalos for him about 30 minutes later and got on my druid, summoned him, pulled Ban for him, and he tamed right away with no interference! So he tamed him, but ended up just having to wait a day because of that douchebag.

Speaking of douchebags, some dick killed Arcturis "just because it was rare". I hate Arcturis, but really now...someone was bitching in general about really wanting him and the dick who killed him was sitting there trolling him and saying things like "U MAD BRO? LOLOLOLO" and just generally douchey things.

"Well, that's a Challenge TAME and there's two-three hunters trying but SCREW IT. I'm gonna see if I can kill it!" The idea just seems stupid to me.

My baby BE hunter, I have her sitting over Arcturis's spawn point. Im basically just browsing Reddit while I wait for dungeon ques. I didnt really feel like questing. So why not sit over a spawn point while I wait?

I randomly check back in game. At some point I see another horde level 85 hunter fly in to check the spawn point. I really didnt think anything of it, so I went back to browsing Reddit.

About 10 minutes go by, and my NPC BLARES for Arcturis. What do I see when I look back in game though?

1st Hunter apparently gets a 2nd Guildie hunter buddy of his who already owns Arcturis to pull the pet out right under/behind me. And laugh it up while I sit there spinning in circles for a few seconds looking for the bear. They then precede to /point and /laugh at me.

"Well, that's a Challenge TAME and there's two-three hunters trying but SCREW IT. I'm gonna see if I can kill it!" The idea just seems stupid to me.

I've actually had people argue that its worth killing cuase it drops the tear that can be venter trashed for 25g...I really think Blizz needs to make them drop nothing and maybe give a nasty debuff (kind of like res-sickness but last longer) or something for killing them just to make these people stop killing the new rares just cause they can...but thats me : /

yep! she's a pretty girl! me and the other guildy there (the one who summoned her) had to get a healing pally, and the pally (a guildy) stunned her, near the end, she she wouldn't ram me, and break my tame.
