8 New and Rare Tamable Beasts!

Huh....this doesn't bode well for those of us who do not roll as BM regularly on our mains and only have room for one SB. Ah well, I will still do this, even if just on the PTR. I really love how hard these tames are going to be!

The one thing guys though is that these new rares so far can not be killed! (squee) Ban hurts like a son of a, the trick tame to him is trying to get him down safely and surviving the 35k+ moonfire hits. I also shot off quite a few shots and did like no damage whatsoever to him.. The new cat you have to have all your armor off or hell kill you, so there is no way people can kill it without any armor. You will die a horrible death, isnt that kinda of what we wanted? Rares that are a challenge to tame, and wont be killed by some noob who goes OH RARE MUST KILL IT. And another thing ptr effects and stuff always sucks as we saw with what it does to terrorpene so on live itll probably be 10 times nicer then what it is on ptr so dont judge them until you see them live folks ^.^

Needless to say I am glad I found the bird first cause it would have taken me FOREVER to think to take off my armor

haha so far it seems like that. I know there was a ton of people flying around the bird and when I died I am sure people did try to attack it when it was on the ground.. the whole "oooh shiny rare" thing, but I think it would be awesome. I didnt test it out so much with the bird cause well alot of people around but they are all neautral mobs so they wont attack you and if they dropped anything itll only be the tear if that so.. I am thinking no harm no foul to non hunters. And so far it seems that only 1 can be up at a time as I have yet to find anything else at all. So they may all share spawn timers but idk yet.. oh I am on the An... uh.. US PVE server for those who want to keep in touch.

I am excited about the new kitty to though Gondria was way way way too pink for me.. so this kitty I think I will like since I love that model (have 4 cats with that model haha)

Oh man, these are neat! I'm KINDA tepid on Ban'thalos (though I'm tickled to see a bird spirit beast at long last), but I think Ahnka is quite nice for someone who didn't want a cotton candy colored vapor cat.

Seeing these, though, I can't help but wonder if ZombieBear will make it in.

That's an older video, and as far as I know that particular mob is labelled an Elemental.

Meh, the Cat's trick tame is neat, but the bird's, not so much, its just a lot of haste and pulling it from the sky... now if they made it too high to pull from the sky at all, and had like platforms that glowed a different color for the shot it required, then you climbed them like stairs... That is something I consider a challenge, especially if the platforms were to fade over time, requiring you to rush, reminiscent of my Jack & Daxter days... xD

I want to see people have to weave between craters to find the beasts, or requiring to chase the beast through a maze, or even having to kite it around until it became tamable(Making it unkillable after being made tamable would be a plus)... Anything like that would be real fun IMO, but simply taking off your armor, or flying high enough to attack it, meh.

Yes that one before was labeled an elemental but not too sure about how it is now. Interesting side note, was bored so looking at wow model viewer that zombie bear is labeled in bear not spectral bear and there are some new wolf skins a dire wolf model *shrugs* but I havent had wow model viewer in a long time so Idk if they are new or not since they arent finished.

Server restart so maybe ill find some more!

The owl has a wierd flight path, I saw him first as soon as I exited out of the portal to the firelands, then after I tagged him he stayedp retty much around the malorne area.. it would be more fun if he was by the beat in which you had to bounce on the trampoline to tag it

Since there haven't been any new models datamined by MMO Champion and the like, I have a feeling we'll just see currently existing models for all of these beasts, albeit ones that aren't in use yet or have not been tameable before.

The new owl was uncovered by Wain a while back, and the white 'Gondria' has been in the files for a while. There's some other unused spirit beast-esque models (the alternate Skoll colours, the zombie bear, etc). Deth'tilac has already been theoried to be the missing blue/purple fire spider, and we have the possibilities of the Fandral forms, along with the skeleton hounds perhaps. This could very well be a way to use up the rest of those models that haven't been seen in game yet or that we've been asking for.

Basically just a caution to not get your hopes up for something completely new and never seen before. x)

Ankha is pretty and I prefer her over Gondria, but I don't think there will be room for her in my stables. I have this weird thing where I only like keeping one spirit beast at a time, and I'm pretty attached to my Karoma.

I LOVE the wing effects on the owl, but I'm not a huge fan of the model itself.

Still, I'm really glad that they're adding these shiny, difficult tames into the mix. It's a really interesting idea. I might go hunting these down just for the challenge of it.

They NEED to make this a beast and tameable! That would be one very unique pet!

I like the idea of a trick-tame; it's a step in the right direction toward true challenge rather than RNG/time consumption, and something I think all players will appreciate!
