Yeah ones with armor of some kind.
^

Though the theme began with nether drakes who were the new addition to the drake family, and then frost wyrms cause there was already developed lore surrounding frost wyrms under Arthas' control-- and from what ive scrounged up quickly, it seems frost wyrms are still the current arena mount (feel free to correct me 83), and we havent come across a cloud serpent mount worthy of such an acheivment.. plus they've exausted their draconic options from lore itself, every new mount is crafted either lightly from lore or from scratch, so it could change direction *is hoping im wrong tho*

forgive me if it sounds like i butchered my thought process there, im watching food network star which has been killing my train of thought right now XD

Current arena mount is a twilight drake-ish looking one, with armor and skulls on it. I've seen one person on my server with it...it's meh looking I feel. But yes, all expansions have been drakes for arenas, and they will probably keep that trend I bet.

Maybe, but also remember every x-pac to date has had a whelpling as the CE mini-pet, and MoP has a baby Qilin of some sort. /shrug This xpac seems to be the precedent breaker so far, we'll just have to see.

Hmm, probably Garonia's (sp?) model then from the blackhorn encounter, i must say, she is one freaking sexy drake. To know shes an arena mount.. breaks my heart.. twilight drakes are my hands down absolute favorite mount in the entire game, even with all these new releases

Yeah there we go, it's that model.

Yeah, every expansion had whelp pets with the CE and this one doesn't...tho this one does also include a mount too...guess they're trying all sorts of new things.

Just noticed on the beta that the Pandaren Phoenix mount is fixed, and it has a wonderful flexible tail now!

MEH...

as lovely as they are, I hate riding them. The tail and flapping of the wings is almost as annoying as a bouncing raptor mount.

Will never ride one of these on live.

I think these are absolutely gorgeous mounts... But I think the saddle seems to be a little far back. I hope it gets fixed, but if not then I'm pretty sure I can get over this concern.

I love them, the saddle is a little to far back, talk about ridding their ass.

Either way, I love em, so pretty, I hope I can get one :)

People keep talking about riding them but no one's talking about how they're obtained. :/

I don't think we know where they come from yet, in beta you automatically have one on your characters to play around with.

Oohh that makes more sense. Thanks! I have the beta but I just uninstalled it because it was being a bit buggy and I don't have enough interest in playing the beta to install it again. ^^;

Edit: Just found a more recent video of the phoenix with the fixed, smooth tail! Beautiful. <3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=exboo5CRiSs&feature=plcp
