Yup, might make you some more friends to chat with while you camp. Besides, there are certain to be people out there who would love all those reds, blues, blacks and browns you're taming and abandoning.

It's what I did everytime a madexx I didnt want spawned. I made some wonderful friends.

I've found homes for 2 browns (pre-4.06) and 1 red. Honestly, if I found a brown Madexx now that it's a common skin, I would kill it to start the timer over again.

That's terrible! People will tame the bronze madexx, you know. Not everyone will settle with the brown common. Many I've talked to would take madexx over his common twin anyday!

The brown model is my favorite, it's the one I have. If it had its own spawn point I would leave it alone. But since it shares a spawn point with truly rare colors, it doesn't make sense to leave a brown Madexx spawn up. It was crazy for Blizz to make 5 different colors share one spawn point.

Still doesnt mean to kill it. Killing the brown doesnt make the others spawn faster. I had bronze spawn 4 times in a row.

I really wish I could do that all the time, but there is no way I am going to be able to hold a Madexx longer than 5min (or even watch him). If the hunter is in Uldum I might be able to get them over to Madexx before someone kills him.

The players on my realm are ruthless and will even kill a rare if you have it tagged, ice-blocked, and sitting there telling them to stop. What is sad is they don't even stay to gloat... they kill the creature and then fly away waiting for you to say something in General Chat about it so all of the other trolls can jump in.

I have even seen a player tell General Chat that they killed a "big scorpion" that was getting tamed and when they left the hunter was /crying to them.... What did most (not all) say about it? "LOL" "Was the guy pissed?" "You could have held it for ransom." etc etc etc... I told Chat that it was stupid to do that and then I got bombarded with trolls trying to upset me. I didn't see Madexx spawn, but it's corpse was still there and the NE that I am guessing tried to tame it was still there (in awe, probably). I did add the time and color to my list though.

So yeah... if a hunter on my realm wants a Madexx they better camp for it and be there at all times. I can't wait for very long before I tame it myself, or it will wind up dead. I see taming and abandoning appeasing to the Madexx deities so I would rather do that than kill it.

If I know that another hunter wants a certain color I have no problem seeing if they are on and I'll try to hold it (have done it successfully a couple of times). So I do have others watching for me (they know I am only interested in green) and getting spawn times when I am not around, and I have found homes for maybe 5 of them I have came across.

Not a monster at all, Pent. Catch-and-release is definitely better than killing them, if the trolls and griefers are so prevalent on your server. It's sad that a lot of hunters won't get their Scorpion, but I guess it's better than having the pet killed out from under you.

Yikes....I never had that on Moon Guard when it comes to Madexx.

Nor on Suramar, but I've heard enough stories of it to believe it...and to be very, very thankful I haven't run into that yet (well once long ago hunting Loque, but that was then).

I haven't seen any since before Tuesday's maintenance. I know maintenance isn't supposed to do anything to spawn timers, so I am guessing the times it has been spawning has been really late at night and before I get off of work....

...or I am just missing the spawns.

I've run into a few griefers on Icecrown, usually fellow Horde members with a bad attitude against the Alliance. One of them is actually a guildmate and it makes me really disappointed when she starts talking about killing tames out from under alliance people. She used to BE alliance, for goodness sake! Me, I'll usually blow /kisses at hunters I know are camping for a rare and wish them /luck.

If I ever see you camping, Sasrei, I'll give you lots of troll kisses! Muahahaha!

I really don't get the 'MUST GRIEF OPPOSITE FACTION' people. I used to be Horde and I've done stuff like help look for Sambas, drag Jadefang to LoS for hordies and other stuff. It's a pretendy game and it just means your pretendy character man has a different little flag. There's still a -person- on the other side of that pretendy man-character. Oh sure, RP means sometimes there's conflict but when it becomes harassment and grief, yeah...

That said, I've rehomed a black, red and brown - and made a few friends in the process. The guy who got the black one was pleased as punch.

I really hope Pent gets his green.
