Yeah.
He left the guild and server changed.
There's an issue with his greed that became apparent the last time we killed Deathwing..
I'm going to ask the raid group that the next mount goes to me instead of wasted on a greedy mother fucker. That's one less Madness mount for our guild...

That happens a lot sadly. Mounts (IMHO) should always go to founding members or officers/GM first. Because time and again, the little shithead always leaves when its someone that hasn't been there forever. :/

Well, tbh I don't agree on this matter with Meggers.
Nili, don't want to offend you - just want to express my opinion.

For me it would be unfair if mounts would only go to GMs/Officers. Did they do better job than the other part of team?
Would they be able to solo the fight? No.
In that case everyone should have equal rights for the mount.

I'm often doing pugs, recently with 9 other people from other guild - they were missing only a warrior - I went on my alt.
It was a pug from the trade, I didn't know these people.
I think it would be unfair, if they gave the mount which dropped from Ultraxion (Experiment 12B) - to their GM. Everyone rolled - and a "normal" person won, not GM nor Officer.
Also, when going with my guild, no one ever mentioned, that our GM had "bigger rights" to claim any mount - than the rest of us (He is also a mount collector).
That would be just unfair.

But as I said, that is only my personal opinion.

Gayia - I also stated founding members. And made note that its generally newer members that end up leaving. I have had this happen, and seen this happen...sooooo many times. I don't think GMs/Officers should get OMG FIRST DIBS! but stating that them + founding (longtime members) should most definitely get dibs over the newbies.

Experience has made this decision for me.

My issue with this particular case is I was promised first mount for the bigger mounts dropped, like Ragnaros, and naturally Madness. Then, at the last moment, the team decided to roll for it. My husband's the raid leader, I'm the guild master. But, in the end we didn't force things into our hands. Yeah, we all put equal effort into it, but this member who won the Madness drake has been showing his inability to play for the team for quite a while now. This guy's a Deathknight, I won't name and shame him because I'm above it. If he reads these threads, I'd rather name him, so he knows how we feel. (He's cut off all contact with us since his decision to leave the guild) When we were struggling to progress through Zon'ozz, we asked him to spec for Anti Magic Shell.

We weren't struggling for dps, we were struggling with our healers having to keep up with the massive damage phase. After one try of this, he specs back to his original dps spec ''I'm not doing enough dps with it''.. It was the first sign of his view of how he was going to play. He wanted to look out for himself. It started off slow, and we let it slide at first. Then the mount dropped. I was naturally upset about him recieving it and have since spoken to my officers about it. I let it happen, I have to keep things fair as the guild master. I assumed he'd stay in the guild, so I was warming up to him riding it in Orgrimmar. It was like ''Look what Phat Lewtz Society did pre-nerf!'' I liked people asking about it, and recruitment went up in numbers.

Then our last week of raiding together, we were practicing on Morchok HC. This requires our melee to have damage reducing skills, and for a deathknight, it's switching between presences. He once again complained it impacted HIS dps. The boss, once again, was going down fine... until this DK died instantly each time. We saw this method wasn't going to work with him, so we switched back to normal. We one-shot each boss all the way to Madness. We one-shot that too. The sword dropped.

Right, little bit of history is needed for this next part. My husband, our raid leader, was VERY unlucky in 4.2. By the time 4.3 rolled around, he was still playing in 359 gear and still topping our dps. He never asked for anything, and was given pity items from a few non-regular team mates who we had grabbed for a reserve. Let me state again. HE NEVER ASKED FOR ANYTHING.

So, a warrior, and the DK both wanted this sword. Mind you, this DK had just won the drake last week. We were all really surprised when the DK said ''roll on it''. The husband obliged and lost the roll. The DK won it. Then, the husband argued that he should have it for various raiding reasons, and asked for it. The DK handed it over, and all seemed fine. He had his mount, the top dps had the sword. Things were in place for Morchok HC. We all agreed things would go a lot smoother with the sword on our top dps.

This was until I got a message on facebook:

''Rina, i am very upset and strongly considering transferring to another server. The stunt John pulled with the sword when i won it on a fair roll is unfair. His argument that his 5% increase in dps takes precedence over someone else's is a shit. If dps is the deciding factor on who gains loot then John would get all the loot. I am not greedy about gear, but a roll is a roll. The fact that i won it on a fair roll and John complaining about it in officer's chat is grossly unfair. This is the second time that someone had an issue with me getting loot from a fair roll on DW. If this is the direction the raid group is going then you may as well ignore rolls and say fuck you and take it. I wont be on till DS resets, I am just too angry that my rolls mean so little. I'm sorry i sent u such an unpleasant message, but this is really bothering me and i had to mention it''

My husband never pulled a stunt, and he was viewing this from a very selfish perspective.
My husband of course responded to him and offered to talk about it. We never heard from him again. This morning, we didn't see his name on the roster. He had removed us from realid, and even facebook.

This DK WAS a founding member of the guild, he helped create it after another guild failed us. He was one of the guys who had voted me be leader a year and a half ago. He was our last founding member. But, it seems greed won over this time. He didn't have to hand it over, he won the roll. But it was ultimately his choice to give it to my husband.

I run my guild fairly. I think everyone should be equal. But, with that in mind, I think the guild master should be riding on prestigious mounts. I'm not going to demand it, I never influenced any of the above that happened. I bit my tongue and didn't say a word in officer chat or raid chat. I'm not going to demand the next mount go to me, but suggest it.

So to answer your question Gayia, no I couldn't solo it. But without my effort or my husband's efforts (raid leading isn't an easy feat), this raiding team would have gone nowhere. It was my husband who suggested this guy do that, or that guy do this. Hell, I don't bring spirit beasts to raids anymore, but Devilsuars due to my husband being Arms. I provide the crit buff so everyone else soars while I pump out average dps. We all seemed to sacrifice a bit of ourselves, our playing styles to get this raid team to heroic, BUT this DK. I think that's why I'm upset the most.

Nili, after reading this whole story, I really do understand and feel for you.
Sometimes just one person is the "weakest link" in your party - and he just keeps winning everything. I think everyone has experienced that.
(Recently I went on my fresh-dinged-85 mage to LFR, with pvp gear - and I have won 9 items in 1 run. I just wanted to try out the mage, and I was 12-13 in DPS meter, won every single item I could need on. My main of course loses every single roll everywhere.)

What I want to say. Every guild has their own rules.
Some guilds require proof of being over 18. Some of them raid Sundays 3am-5am. Some requires vent and ilvl 403+.
People just don't join guild whose rules seems not OK for them.

If I were you, I would state this in the beginning - every first mount from new boss/expansion goes to GM.
Loads of people just don't really care about mounts, they have 15 mounts in total, and it is not really important what do they fly/ride on.

That is what surprises me the most:

Why did they change their mind? It shouldn't be like that.

If they DID promise it would be yours, then it SHOULD. You should have been the Loot Master and just take it for yourself.

It was the DK who had suggested we roll for it as he only had the Celestial Steed and the Winged Guardian on his DK. I couldn't say no and not seem like Hitler. I'll ask my officers if they'd be okay with that rule. I'm not sure, I've got my husband and another officer who's played two other games with us before who are definitely on my side, not sure about the others.

I wasn't entirely clear in my previous rant posts, so your reaction was deserved. I didn't take an offense. I'll be more clear next time. Sometimes it's hard to post coherently while angry lol.

Somewhat, people that either gquit to go to another guild giving no reason. Basically "scooping loot and running" or doing the same thing, but also realm xferring.

People that show no real aleigance to the guild and took loot and left.

The lovebird's the next one on my list ^-^ I've got 109 tokens so far, been farming at HoL at the slags when I get the time.
When I get Lovefool, I get my Violet Proto as well. I'd usually zoom right through it, but real life issues have made me not want to log in as much as I did before. Stupid cancer. :S

I tried HoL - its about 70% lower drop rate of charms than in Throne of the Tides. We think it might be a bug, and Blizz repairs it any day. Try it, it's much better^^
You just have to solo (or ask a healer for help - as I did) first boss - and then just stay for 3 hours - aoe adds - and you have your mount

So, Love Fool is the last one on your list? Which achievements do you miss?

Just gonna use my thread as my soap box for a moment, then talk about my new mount.

So some weirdo on this forum has CONVINCED himself that I'm a 12 year old deluded girl for calling him out on his bullshit. He's deluded himself into thinking that I'm actually a child because clearly only a petulant child would have a problem with his dickery. Well you know what. I'm gonna take it as a compliment, fuck yeah. I'm youthful, I'm optimistic, and hell yeah I can be naive at times. So, heads up dude, thank you for the compliment.

Had a mini panick attack after our date last night. That wasn't fun. Again, stupid cancer.
But before that, we came ingame, and I was invited to come along for OS3D 25 man. My husband came along as well. I said ''if you win the drake, you get to keep it this time cause you bought me that drake''..two seconds later the roll comes up.. I WON IT. Yey
Two more mounts until my Dragonhawk, then I'll just collect mounts on the side. When I hit 100 and get that dragonhawk, I'm gonna take a hiatus from all the farming that I've done. x.x
