So Lauren Faust isn't going to be leading the work on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic in Season 2. :(

I'm not too miffed, but Ryan is going absolutely crazy over it. The sky is falling, Hasbro's going to murder the series and the characters will be reduced to fart jokes and tea parties apparently. He calmed down a little when he found a journal by one of the people on the art team saying that the newer episodes(which they're already working on) are the same(if not higher)quality as the first season...but he's still worried. Poor babe had so much trouble getting to sleep. :/ He's freaked out so much it's ruining the series for him before he even sees it and I can't physically grab him by the shoulders and shake some sense into him, aaagh.

Oh, Ponies. Don't let me down here.

It used to have a very neat, clean little setup, with the title bar, my bookmarks, tabs underneath - now it's some horrible bastardization of some simplistic hipster bullshit and it's really, really throwing me off. Wry Firefox, wrrryyyy?

It threw me off too Nub, but I figured out how to mostly restore it back to the original setup and now I'm okay with it. You can get rid of the ugly orange button and replace it with the old Menu bar, also you can place the tabs back underneath and restore the old buttons and such.

Trying to work on a drawing I'm doing. Have to look up muscles to be able to draw them correctly (Have to get everything right even If It's going to be covered up, blah)....

Then getting Distracted for the next Ten Minutes by the yummy manflesh pictures that I'm looking at. Come on brain, stop doing that to me dang it!

I'm kinda sad because my friend has recently decided that WoW is taking up way too much time in his life etc etc, and he's decided that he will never play WoW again, except on special occasions. He went so far as to he almost went through his whole account and deleted all of his characters- which he didn't, but he was soo close, he said he had his main character (85 druid) up on the delete screen with "delete" typed in :O
He says he might give me some characters off his account, so at least they won't fall into dis-use... (and yeah I know him IRL so it's fine :P)

Again, I agree. And ironically.. I'm sure some people here would classify me as both one of these people and one of the ones that complains a lot that Cowmu was talking about. But hey, I never said I wasn't a hypocrite XD

I dont like the "new" my little ponies at all...I miss the original ones, that where actually drawn well, had actual story-lines and ment something. These cheap, big-eyed "ponies" look more like rabid mutants then anything. I want the REAL My little ponies back!!!!

*Raises eyebrow* Um, actually... The new ones are drawn well too, AND they have a storyline. It may not obvious, but if you watch the whole first season, you'll see that there's actually a slight storyline that the episodes follow. Besides, the new ones are great. Their personalities are good, and they have good character development. It's a good series, in my opinion.


On topic.. I hate wanting to draw, but being too tired to draw it. That and people who rage about anything new in franchises. I'm sick and tired of people saying that each and every new Pokemon generation has "RUINED MY CHILDHOOD" in some way or fashion. It's just so damn closed minded.. Agh. It drives me insane.

For some reason, always when you say stuff like that, I feel like it's me you're pointing at, even though it may not be me. (I think it's because I always thought you were a guy, and still kept thinking that even after seeing pictures of you. xD)

Friendship is Magic does indeed have a plot, albeit not one adhered to as strictly as the past abominationsinstallments of the show. It's more of a moral-a-day sort of thing, and it's got some pretty neat messages about tons of different topics that are handled in a way that doesn't treat kids like they're gibbering morons, which a lot of people appreciate. The characters are actually fairly in-depth, as well, and Mrs. Faust has some pretty awesome thinking behind it all.

Also the team is incredibly receptive to the fanbase, and they often drop in /co/ and Ponychan just to say hi.

Oh, and we got a silly joke turned into an official character.

As for the detail(or lack thereof), it was produced by the woman who was heavily involved in making The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's - on top of being made entirely in Flash, it's not surprising that her style bled into the show. To each their own, however, although I do suggest you actually give it a shot if you haven't already*. When you stop comparing it to the other shows, it's quite fun.

*I wish I could follow my own advice when it comes to my boyfriend's Motorhead obsession. Erg. No thanks.

As for my on-topic rant, the whole "Let's hate on the popular things" fad has hit me right in the face again. First with music and movies and shows and now with art. Ugh. Just like what you like, guys!
