Still funny imagining that attack KOing a Dragon…IMMA KISS YOU TO DEATH YOU BIG SCALEY BADASS

AND THE WHOLE MENTAL IMAGE OF MURDERING THINGS WITH DRAINING KISS IS ONE OF THE REASONS WHY I MADE THAT AN IMPORTANT DETAIL ABOUT MY SYLVEON OC'S FIGHTING STYLE. HE KISSES THINGS TO DEATH. IT'S BEAUTIFUL.

Hehe I'm guessing you know why. If not, it's his ability  confused the heck outta me and I really didn't want to summon a Milotic when I wanted ma fluffy foxy. If you put the Zorua in the last space, his ability doesn't trigger but then you've got to switch him in and then switch him out again and it's a pain in my rear. It happens with Zoroak too, (I'm probably not spelling either name right) but it's fun when you're in battle spot and you get hit by a physic move only to go "Lol gotcha!"

I named my own Zorua Mirage. Or I will once I get my hands on a shiny male

Kayro said it good. That's the ability of that pokemon, Illusion. You can see it on it's profile page. Zorua and it's evolution take on the appearance of the pokemon last in the party. It's great for confusing your enemy, or yourself lol.

Yeah, they are great fun for getting opponents to hit you with ineffective moves when they were going for super effective STABS. Also good for locking choice scarf users into bad moves.

Actually Rawr, it's worth noting that Zorua (or Zoroark now) will take the form of your last Pokémon that can still battle. Forgot to mention that bit. So, for example, if you had a Milotic and a Ninetails as your last 2 Pokémon, Ninetails was the 5th and Milotic was the 6th, and Milotic had fainted, your Zoroark would become a Ninetails at the start of the battle :)

From a competitive perspective Zoroark is great. However, you want to be careful. What Makoes said is true, if you lock your opponent into a good move or are out-played, things will go badly as Zoroark isn't the bulkiest of Pokémon.

Actually, anyone take interest in the more competitive side of Pokémon? It's alright, and I've got a few mons dedicated to that kinda stuff. Just wondering :D

Edit--actually, anyone know any good movesets and natures for Zoroark and/or Mightyena? Ninetails I got figured out as a special attacker but I'm not sure on which dark type I'd like to use. I love mightyena (and am trying to get hold of one so I can hatch a shiny male one) but Zoroark seems better as, here I guess, he can take one of two hits better than Mightyena.

Ah Zoroark. I've max leveled 2 of them. It usually takes more than one hits to take him down so I run Nasty Plot. Use that then he can steamroll. He can also have a nice variety of moves which makes him easier to fit into teams as he can fill many small niches you may require.

Mightyena. I have yet to max mine but Moxie with Play Rough, Ice Fang, Thunder Fang and Crunch or Sucker Punch? She's is beautifully powerful. I never thought a Mightyena could be so stunningly strong until I leveled her.

All in all, both can be great choices in my opinion. Probably my favorite dark types to use. I'd probably make a decision on what you're looking for. An Attacker or a Sp. Attacker? Do you want to have a Pokemon who's more fluid like a Zoroark? or are you fine with having a strict move set like Mighyena?

I remember entering a battle once and I had a lvl 71 Larvesta at the front of my party but it had all dark-type moves.

I hadn't played pokemon for quite a while prior and I never looked to see what was in my party when I ran into a wild pokemon and this happened. I was freaking out so legitly, I was completely mindfucked lmao. It took me and my bf about 5min of going WTFFFF??? before we actually checked out my party and saw my Zoroark in front and my egg-hatching Larvesta (had him in my party for Flame Body to hatch eggs) right after him, and my collection of eggs I had gathered and was trying to hatch lined up behind in the other party slots.

We were like @_____@;; afterwards, we were really and truly going crazy XD
