Then again, once it's over, I can burn all my notes and throw a massive "SCREW YOU HISTORY!" party.

And I want to work on a new project of mine. But I don't have the materials.

And my dog has about a 50/50 chance of surviving her disease.

And my other dog is a spaz and freaks out every day at 8PM, just when it gets dark and we can't play ball outside.

Good luck - you're almost done! As for the note-burning, it just occurred to me that I still have all the notes I took for AP Chemistry; way too much paper!

Too bad about your dog, though. Their lives are just way too short.

And I have a lot more petty rants, so I'll shut up now..

Is this no longer a place where people can feel free to rant about whatever, so long as we aren't naming names? If others choose to read your rant, then it's up to them to remember that you aren't expecting them to listen to your ranting since you aren't addressing anyone in particular.

I can't my lazy co-worker. She stands around all day and refuses to help with anything, unless the manager directly tells her to help. I also can't stand the fact that she limps around work all last week saying she has a "severe sprain" only to take the weekend off to go compete at 3 day horseshow. She proceeds to brag about it on Monday while she sits on her ass, milking her sprained ankle whenever the manager walks in the room.

Then today, since floor manager was off and the other manager was out of the building, I was left in charge. A customer comes in, I ask if they need help. They say "not right now. We just want to look at helmets." A couple minutes go by and I'm helping another customer, so I ask LCW (Lazy CoWorker) to go check on the customers who went upstairs to look at helmets. She flat out says "I don't feel like it. They will come and get someone if they need help" THAT IS NOT THE POINT YOU LAZY FUCK!!! (excuse the french, I really can't stand this girl)

Oh hey, lazy coworkers, I can totally sympathize with that statement. I've got 2-3 of them as my co-baggers and they always schedule the laziest one in the slot that's supposed to help the closer. Unfortunately, all he does is run off and disappear so he can be on his phone as much as possible and lately anytime I ask him to do something to help me he gives me an attitude about it and says "I'll do it soon."

Going to the managers has proved a waste of time because one of them is too concerned about being nice to everyone and wanting everyone to like him (and he's the main closing manager), and he's getting older and forgetful so it's like banging my head against a brick wall trying to get him to keep the lazy people under rein. I've literally gotten to the point where I'm like "If you can keep so and so up here bagging, doing carts, and maybe the sweeps, I can get all of the closing work done that I need to."

It wouldn't be so bad if they gave the closers the old closing shift back, but they took away about 2 hours of our shift so we only have 4 hours to get everything done. I know that sounds like a lot, but when you have to bag, do your duties, get carts, make sure the sweeps and temps get done, and make sure there's at least one person in the front end left up there, AND whatever a manager might want you to do...it's not very much time at all--it goes by quickly and often times, very very frustratingly.

I can't make my mind up for alts/what classes I want to play, even if they don't matter in RP. This has been going on since Cata hit, and I still do not have a female worgen character I like--I'm race-changing my 71 druid asap because I just can't get behind the idea of worgen druids who melee in cat form. Very silly, yes, but that's me. And a rogue would be too similar to said future kitty nelf, I already have a Tauren warrior and my sister (who I play with) has a worgen warrior, I want to play a mage but can't get an in-character character down for that, priest would let me dual-role and be a caster and I could be a shadow priest IC but I don't know. Can't really get into that either.

I'll probably make her a rogue but hnnnngg. I wish worgen could be paladins.

Then sometimes I get little flashes of different characters I'd like to play and can't pick a class for them either because I don't like playing more than 1 of the same class on the same faction and my entire system is hovering in limbo because of my indecision.

FML i cant figure out why and how to get my USB's to connect to the computer, theres apperently no driver and i have no idea what that means and what i do to fix it and WMV wont load cause My WoW (fully updated, has cataclysm) isnt the proper version and i know the links ive been downloading work cause i used to have it on my old comp but neither 32 or 64 will work.

Edit: And my old computer which DID have my Action Replay on it before i cleared everything off cause stepdad was taking it since his died on him is having the exact same problem as my current computer. And my Ipod, as well as my srotage USB's work perfectly fine on both while my action replay is completely refused and my computers telling me it cant find any driver software to install cause i dont seem to have a driver to begin with

Google AdWords contacted me yesterday to let me know that my book site is in violation of their bridge page policy. In other words, they think that the sole purpose of my book site is to drive traffic to another domain - I'm guessing Amazon although they never said - and that the site has no original content and no additional functionality for users beyond that.

A typical bridge page is pretty scammy - the AdWords page gives as an example a travel aggregator or shopping comparison site that drives users to only one hotel chain or airline with no additional functionality.

So .... they called my site scammy.

They said - in the response e-mail I got from AdWords staff after I wrote in to challenge the violation - that it has no original content (the reviews and overviews I have written don't count) and that the ratings are pre-populated (by which they mean scraped off of Amazon instead of laboriously tweaked by me as I add new books and change my mind about the difference between Brilliant and Amazing). They suggested I add new features like sorting by genre (which I already have and pointed out to them), by author (which I already have and pointed out to them), and by price (which I can only do by scraping the vendor sites, which is one of the things they are accusing me of doing). They didn't mention the ability to filter by content tags, but I have that too - and pointed it out to them.

I spent a lot of time on that site (albeit not recently) and it took me *days* - more than a week of 12 hour days - to hunt down all the bloody information about all the series I have posted now, which is only a handful of the series I want to have ... and it's nowhere near done. I just started adding anthologies - and do you know anywhere else that lists each anthology with a link to the UF/PNR series for each story, and its order in the series, so you know which series that you read the anthology will progress? *If so, please point it out to me because I have been doing the work by hand.) And yes, it's true that not every book has an original review written for it yet - maybe because there are 499 books on the site, I have a day job plus three other sites to support, and it's a god damned hobby site?

God forbid they ever see Petopia.

The thing that gets me is not that AdWords doesn't want my money - I was running a really tiny campaign largely because I am really uncomfortable going to other people's blogs and talking myself up, which is the normal way to get word out about a new book review site - but because of the way this ties in with Google's new anti-spam-website techniques.

The first e-mail I got was clearly based on a machine reading of my book site; I like and trust Google to use human judgement when necessary to overcome problems with machine intelligence. But when I sent them a detailed report of what I was doing where, with example links - 14 example links, one for each piece of additional functionality - I got back a response from a real person that indicated he or she had neither looked at the site nor read my report.

And I am not at all happy about what that might mean for my book site's ranking in Google search results.

For context: AdSense is the Google division that pays you to run ads on your website. AdWords is the Google division that you pay to run ads on other people's websites (or more commonly on Google search results).

The damn tracking information on my package, on Amazons site it says the package left somewhere relatively in my area two days ago, but then I go input the traffic information on the tracking companies website and it says they havent even actually gotten the package to mail yet. >_> ugh.
