View New Posts - an easy way to browse the forums at once!

Though I'm sure many people are already aware of this feature, I frequently run into some who don't know about this nifty and convenient way to browse new posts on the forum.

If you're the type who likes to see any and all new posts being made, the best way to keep up to date is just to go to the View new posts link located in the top right hand corner of every page:



This link will give you a list of threads from all the forums and sub forums in chronological order of new postings. The most recent posts will be at the top.

You can just stay parked on this page and refresh it to easily keep track on everything going on. Naturally this also works for other phpBB boards and forums.

You can also get to the most recent post by clicking the small paper/arrow icon next to the title of the thread in the overview.

Ooh, that's a good one to know also!



Clicking on that little folded paper icon will take you to the latest post in the thread. Much easier than going to the thread, clicking on the last page number, and scrolling to the bottom.

You could also go to active topics. A little less cluttered.

To be exact, it shows every topic that has gotten a new post or was just made.

I didn't know about active topics. That will be handy when I have to wander off before I make it all the way through the new posts list.
