Sunday was much the same. That hunter came back and tried to blow me up again, but I just sat quietly. Every time time AFK came up, I moved a bit to stretch my legs and bring me back. Another 12 hours and nothing. Time to prepare for work on Monday.
Monday night I only had a couple of hours to log on, but I did and sat patiently for that beautiful green shale spider, but she was still playing elusive. Ah well, I can catch up on bad TV while waiting for a spawn. It had to happen sometime!
I took Tuesday off of work to do my taxes and go to the dentist for a cleaning. I knew maintenance would have the servers down until around 11:00 am my time. Taxes took a bit longer than I expected and I needed to get ready for the dentist. But I had about 15 minutes before I had to leave. Should I log in and see if Jade was there? It was around 1:00 in the afternoon and I knew most of the kiddies would be at school, and maybe the not so kiddies would be at work. So log in I did and low and behold, there she was, right in front of me. Bingo, drop an ice trap, click her, click tame and whoo hoo, Jadefang is now mine.
But my story does not end quite yet.
Off to the dentist I go for my cleaning, knowing I had the rest of the afternoon off to play with my new little pet. I get to the dentist, no one is waiting, I'm taken right in, and I want the cleaning over with so I can get home. Well, things just never seem to go the way we plan them, do they? Right after the cleaning the tech decides to have the dentist look at my mouth. Hmmm. Dr. Monica comes in, takes a look and says, "That wisdom tooth is pretty loose. It needs to come out."
Home I arrive, replacing those gauze bandages every 10 minutes and popping pain pills. I really didn't have much pain, but I didn't want to take the chance on having pain later, so I did preventative pain relief.
Living happily with a still numb mouth, I decided to log in to the game and go off to the basin and buy another Oracle egg. I'm still looking for that mount. I've just entered SB when whammo NPC scanner goes off and there's King Krush.
I'm not really sure if I want him but decided to follow him a bit on my flying mount. I decide what the heck, go for it. I dismount, dismiss my Jade, and bam, a rhino decides to attack me. That rhino wasn't too hard to take down without a pet and only took a few seconds. I turned around to start the tame and I froze. There are 2 others killing Krush. No, I want him but at that moment he falls to the ground, dead. I moused over the offending villains only to find they were 2 Nessingwary NPCs. The game killed my tame. As Krush's body despawned in front of my eyes, I wanted to cry. And all I can think is The Game Killed My Tame.
But I do have my new Jadefang to make me happy. And she and her baby Jade decided to "dance" in unison, lol.
