50 Mounts Achievement help!

Sooooo I have been longing for a new mount to ride and while searching around I found out that the http://www.wowhead.com/item=44178/reins ... bino-drake was the best fit for me that wouldn't take me forever to get (time invested wise). Currently I have all of the Stormwind mounts, all of the Darnassus mounts, Snowy Armored Griffin, Armored Brown War Bear, I also have 2 AQ40 mounts blue/yellow, the Halloween mount from this year, Black War Bear, Celestial steed, Flying Machine (I do not have the epic version yet), Grand Black War Mammoth from VoA, Swift Gray Steed, and that's it. That right there gives me 32 and I'm halfway to exalted with Ironforge 13131 Revered/Exalted 1198/12000 Honored/Revered with The Exodar 6453/12000 Honored with Gnomeregan. What would be the fastest way to 50 mounts from here?

I would work on Argent Tournament dailies. No only are there a lot of mounts to buy at the tournament grounds, but it's also a quick way to get to exalted with the Alliance factions.

Definately continue getting rep for the alliance mounts. Each faction has a tabard which easily allows you to get rep from running any dungeon (I found Stockades and/or Stratholme were good ones when I was doing Gilneas rep, Stockades is quick and easily repeatable, but Stratholme has the oppurtunity to drop the Baron Mount aswell, which helps!).

Also if you don't mind grinding rep, the talbuks from grinding Kurenai rep will give you 8 more mounts at Exalted.

If you can get a friend(s) to come along with you, the first Anubis trash group at the beginning of AQ 40 is very easily resettable (providing you only kill 3 of the 4, then run out). My boyfriend and I run it AQ40 every week, and we see tons of the buggers drop, including about 5 Red ones. So they're another 2.

If you have the money/tokens, the mammoths in Dalaran are worth picking up too. =)

PvP mounts are great, a few solid hours of PvP can get you them in no time (I believe there are 5).


These are more long-term ones, but still good to go for:

Argent Tournament ones are great to get if you've got the time (and patience) to do the dailies everyday.

Netherwing drakes: Absolutely gorgeous mounts, and I'm sure the grind is a lot easier nowadays. Will still take a few days of dedicated grinding to get, though.

This list is by no means exhaustive, but if you're just going for 50, I would definately recommend getting to Exalted with the Alliance factions, then picking off a few of the easier mounts. You'll have your drake in no time. =)

I definitely secnd the talbuks! If you've done all the quests for the Mag'har (can't remember the equivallent) you should be honored. It's a really boring grind but it's easily completed in a day. If you want, the netherwing drakes give lots of mounts but I found grinding for them apain in the butt. I got to 50 mounts on my druid without them, but I had the blue drake, green proto drake and 4 of the 500g + 5 seals mounts. I don't know how soloable it is, but the bronze drake is a guaranteed drop if you complete the instance quickly enough. No problem for 2 85's I would think. Good luck!

I was just thinking to myself that don't all factions have 6 mounts? >.< there's 18 right there because I still need 3 more exalted Alliance reps. Off to the Stockades for me!

You're also missing some of the Northrend drakes. The red drake from exalted Wyrmrest Accord, bronze drake from heroic Culling of Stratholme, azure drake from Malygos, black drake from Obsidian Sanctum 10-man, and Twilight Drake from Obsidian Sanctum 25-man. Unfortunately, you won't be able to get the blue drake if you're past level 80 because the cache only drops if you go though the random LK heroics function.

You didn't mention the Cenarion War Hippogryph, so that's a possibility as well. Swift White Hawkstrider from Kael'thas in heroic Magister's Terrace. The Abyssal Seahorse from Vashj'ir counts as one as well.

there are 6 mounts that are purchaseable for honor, also. the five "dark" city mounts are from the npc on the horse next to the honor quartermaster in stormwind, and the mammoth is available from the quartermaster in wintergrasp when alliance controls it. you do not need exalted with any associated faction to ride these.

if you do TB on occasion or specific queue for whatever the call to arms bg is on the weekends (this week is strand, yuck) you will get enough honor in no time. hope this helps!
