Grey Riding Camel

Waking up still tired, I logged on to hearth from Outlands and head to Deepholm. But still not seeing right, I accidently went to Uldum and my hearthstone being on cooldown. So I decided to look around spamming /tar Mysterious Camel Figurine. After a short while, I found my very first one through the whole game on a little sand mound next to two different areas. I figured it was gonna disintegrate and give me some gold. But instead a sandstorm envelopes me and I was in feralas killing the Camel Hoarder for the mount. I am so glad I messed up on where I was going when I woke up.

Gratz! My theory that the grey camel figurines port you to the camel hoarder guy, and the golden ones give you dust.

xD i didnt look at it, a tauren swooped in about the exact same moment i clicked the statue o_o scared me cause i was so excited i found it and scared that he was gonna click it before i did

From what I understand, NPC ID 50409 is the real (and rarer) one, and 50410 is the dud. Both appear as grey camels on Wowhead's model viewer, but the only screenshots for 50410 show it to be a golden colour. Maybe an aura effect.

I've only found the one (and got the grey camel reins), but I was in too much of a panic to notice its colour.

Thanks . A day beforehand I was bitching to a friend that I'd never so much as detected a figurine, ever, when he'd found 15 of them. Fortunately the one I eventually did find was the right one.

That's not what my dust-givers look like o.o

The duds I've gotten have all been solid, dull gray, like the mount! I just assumed that the gold ones were the "right" ones XD

I forgot to write it in my post but the _NPCScan pic did give off a dull gold/tawny colored one or something... dunno if it was the pic of an actual alive camel or a statue since that doesnt look like a statue-- just a sparkly gold camel Off note, that night i found Armagedellio and god that was an epic beast, wish i could tame him but he dropped a very very nice rare mace
