My first homing!

Unread post by Bairde »

Today, while again leveling archaeology, I was passing through loch modan and decided to stop in to check on Ashtail. I had passed by yesterday a few times and not seen him, so I was just curious (and because i'm in love with the sound of NPCScan going off XD). I swoop into his area and after half a circuit, NPCScan goes off and tell me that he is there. Now, since I got him the other day, I wanted to give him to someone, because he really is beautiful, but there was only one other person in that zone at the time, and they weren't a hunter. So I tell my girlfriend, and she at first declines because she can be lazy about logging onto her hunter just to do one thing, but when she saw him walking around being all unloved, she conceded and decided to tame him. After walking beside him for a few minutes, my new madexx got attacked by a grizzly bear and in turn aggroed Ashtail, but thank god I had the insight to put him on passive when I first touched down. Since he started to attack me, i decided to just freeze him until she got there. She shows up, gets the tame, and now has her first rare pet!

Rehoming does take care of the NPCScan addiction. :-) It is a nice thing to do.

For future reference, you could use the /who command, as in /who hunter 16-85 ;)
AKA Nazthandol, in <Petopians> (US)

Glad you got a home for her! ^_^ I haven't been around to Loch Modan for a long time, but now I'm gonna have to check...

Oh god, hell yeah it does. I have like 100 screenshots of 98% of the tamable rare mobs in Vanilla WoW that I "needed" to find just to see my NPC-Scan go off. I'm nearly done and now I'm like OD'd on it. Whenever I hear it go off when I'm casually flying around and it picks something up.. I both love and hate hearing it go off. It's like "HELL YA!! RARRREEEE!!!" but then followed by "Ugh, an other rare that I can't tame due to full Stabs."

Hail Thor-show thy might. Let thunder roar and lightning strike!
Hurl thy hammer into the fray. And let thine enemies know fear this day!
VICTORY, OR VALHALLA!!!
