Listened to it again, and it still doesn't sound like a howl. Besides, it's supposed to be /roar, not /howl.

It's "Courage!" But it's still dumb, regardless. The female draenei and blood elf "roars" were Blizzard saying "okay, these sound REALLY BAD normally, so have this instead!"

The thing is....female draenei yells aren't so terrible to begin with. Both of mine happen to be plate-wearers, so I've heard a good deal of their combat sounds. So I was stunned that Blizz opted for....that.

I really dislike the fact that Blood Elves and Draenei females scream battle cries instead of just screams. It's embarrassing for me
If I roar I want a ROOOAAARRRR!!!, not a speech screamed! That sounds more like a 'charge' emote. /sigh

I AM curious if this means that female draenei will get more /flirt and /silly noises back in 4.2 now—if you recall, almost all of them were removed between when all the racial noises were added in TBC beta and... late in beta to live. Draenei females only have two /flirts active—"the nights are so chilly on dis planet!" and "Are you thinking what I am thinking? Good. Bring ample supply of butter and goblin jumper cables."

Now to be fair, MOST of the flirts were just flat-out dumb (anything where they pretended that Draenic sounded like a slobbering dog shaking its head a la "I want you to bllgllbllgACK my GLAHgllddlglSLUUUURP") but I miss the mating ritual instructions and the Sexodar especially I get the feeling mating ritual was removed because of beastiality implications ("four... no, five sheep" is listed as one of the necessary ingredients) but... well, I dunno about the others (especially considering that the male draenei (including the family jewels, I mean REALLY.) and BOTH gender-flavours of BE flirt/sillies went in virtually unchanged).

Equine creature, you're mostly bones now but I still insist on smacking you every so often!
