Jadefang tame a few months back

So I play my Hunter on the Azjol-nerub realm, which is a PVE realm. A few months ago, I decided I'd go get Jadefang since it's my favorite shale spider skin. I then found out I had to do all the quests in Deepholm to open up the dailies and then wait for the one with the bombs to show up. After 3 days, it finally does, so I make my way up to Jadefang's hole. I started camping at 3pm and passed the time watching some tv in the same room. At about 9:45pm, an Undead Hunter comes up and sits next to me (I'm a Dwarf and I can't kill him since it's a pve realm). He then proceeds to laugh at me and even took out his already-tamed Jadefang. 15 minutes later, at 10pm, Jadefang spawns and I immediately start the tame. Within 3 seconds, the other hunter starts attacking Jadefang, which pulls threat and interrupts it. I was dumb and didn't tag Jadefang before starting the tame, so he got the credit as he killed her in front of me and then pulled out the companion pet Jadefang drops. Then, as if that wasn't enough, he starts to spam the "LOL" emote at me for a good 5 minutes. It got so bad I actually got him reported for harassment and I was literally shaking with rage as I saw him kill Jadefang in front of me, which meant I had to sit there even longer for the next spawn.

There were several other people who had gone up to the cave to see if Jadefang was up but they left when they saw me camping her and that I was BM so I could actually tame her. To have a fellow hunter kill a really rare spawn (8+ hour respawn) as another hunter is taming it, especially if you already have the pet yourself, is just a giant middle finger to the other hunter in my opinion and goes completely against my personal code of ethics. I did eventually get Jadefang later that night, but I wish I didn't have to go through that other hunter's, for lack of a better word, jackassery. However, it did teach me to at least shoot the mob before I start taming just in case. So to all of you reading this, make sure to shoot the target once to tag it. There's no reason for you to have to experience what I did and I'm actually very glad none of the new pets in 4.2 really appeal to me so I don't have to sit through all of that again. My sympathies to those of you trying to tame one of the new pets and know at least 1 hunter is sitting out, so your chances are already better.

Yeah, and I did learn a valuable lesson about what to do when I want to tame a rare, so it all turned out ok, but I'll never understand his motive for doing it.

People like that, I hope to never understand why they do that. I feel that to understand them would be to get dragged down to their level. No thank you.
