Cosmetic buff pets: what wipes them?

Apologies if I've missed the information somewhere - I ran a search, but could find no confirmation.

I have the Lone Hunter with his sword. I obviously don't want to lose him.

I know to avoid going in arenas and rated battlegrounds, because that'll wipe his buff and lose the sword... what about normal battlegrounds? Tol Barad battles? Wintergrasp battles?

I used lone hunter in normal battlegrounds, and TB and WG aren't instanced. They would not get rid of the buffs.

Mobs that lose their buffs upon dying in the wild will lose them upon dying as tamed pets, or if you die with that pet out.

Mobs that do not lose their buffs upon dying in the wild will not lose their buffs if you or they die after they are tamed pets.

All buffs will be wiped by arena & rated bgs.

Your Lone Hunter falls into the latter category, so you only need worry about RBGs & BGs. I haven't tested War Games. Grats on your pet, btw

And thanks! I got him long ago (back when the idea of taming buffed pets first came up), just for fun. And then I got attached to the big daft fuzzball. Would not want to risk him.
