(Not sure if this is the right forum, so apologies in advance, but as it's directed at movie makers I thought it would be most appropriate here!)
I make WoW vids now and then. I use FRAPS to do it, and never had an issue. After buying a headset, however, with integrated mic/headphones (by integrated I just mean that the headset has a mic), I've found that FRAPS records the wrong sound.
It recorded the *mic* sound, so all you could hear on the vids were breathing, frantic keypresses and very, very muffled game sound coming through the headphones.
I've tried every setting I can think of in the Windows sound (I use XP), using the Recording mixer, output/inputs, changing around the Fraps settings (for sound there's only two options apparently), and also changing WoW sound options.
Now it doesn't record any sound at all.
TL;DR: I want FRAPS to record in-game sound, and that sound only. It used to do so, but since I bought my headset, it recorded only mic sound, and now after settings changes records nothing at all.
Any help would be much appreciated; Google search results and random forum threads have been massively unhelpful, so this is kind of my last resort.

Re: Question to Fraps Users (Sound Issue)
Odd problem but here is a link to a video that may explain it, it does mention that there is a setting to capture the mic but it can be set to not capure that just the sound output....anyway the vid explains it a bit better, i hope this isnt what youve tried already i thought it might be helpfull as it does actually comment on the mic capture that you seem to have had before it stopped sound all together.
