I've never been one for camping for a rare, never really have the time for it, having to juggle dailies and such over several characters.
But I will at least run by rare spawns as often as I can in the hopes of snagging one on luck.
The past 24 hours would have to be my luckiest, catching two different spirit beasts.
Gondria one night and then picking up Karoma (with npcscan nearly giving me a heart attack) in the morning.
Karoma has his own story behind it as well.
So I logged off in the Firelands right near where Skarr spawns, hoping to see him waiting for me...but no such luck.
I use my wormhole to get to Northrend and start hunting, found an undead rare and killed him, but no pets to tame.
Hearthed back to Org, and right in front of was some hunting with a tamed karoma.
Ugh...have to clear cache again...and it's a good thing I did, because I might have missed him otherwise.
And that's not including Kirix who I just saw being tamed successfully, and some random Northrend rare in the same 24-hour period.
Still not as great as seeing Ghostcrawler (without having npcscan on!) just crawling all by himself, and taming him in the middle of class though.
Now, if I could only find a 4.2 rare for myself...
