Patch 4.2.2?

Looks like theres a bugfix patch coming up first before 4.3.. umm.. just bug fix? really? ptr is for testing.. we can test these things live..

Patch 4.2.2 on Test Realms soon?
A wild Patch 4.2.2 appeared on the test realms download servers a couple of hours ago, and it looks like we'll go through a bugfix patch before we get to see Patch 4.3.

Is what MMo says, making me think its a bugfix patch.. but if its just bug fixes why not do it live? I mean 4.2 is up, everyone is getting tested unless they plan on adding something in 4.2.2 but.. still makes no sense

Said patch could contain info later needed for 4.3 and we wouldn't know it. A pre-download of hidden info!

It could contain stuff for updated holiday events, I suppose. I seem to recall reading that some Hallows End stuff was being changed this year. I guess it all depends upon how long it'll be before 4.3 drops.

I have No problem with them testing things on the ptr before live. The weirdest little things can cause big problems.

Not sure if you found out yet, But you have to log into the ptr server (Well just try get past the login screen) then exit then it downloads the patch next time you open the launcher.

I logged into the PTR and the realms are still down. But when I closed it then reopened it, it didn't start downloading anything. =/ This is very... Odd... Is Blizz trying to mess with us again like they love to do or...?

Update - Added official notes from the patch files.

Patch 4.2.2 now available on Test Realms
Patch 4.2.2 is confirmed'ish and now available for download to anyone who tries to connect on test realms. No signs of community managers today yet, we will most likely have to wait before we get any information on testing and/or patch notes. The PTR servers aren't online yet.

Ok Blizzard is messing with us again I think.

So Blizzard just posted a really weird picture to their Facebook of ethereals. A blue posted it with no explanation as presumably a teaser. At this point, it's probably a hint for either 4.3 or the next expansion. Maybe it even hints towards a redone Outlands. Whatever it does mean, though, it's pretty crazy.

"Void Storage", could this be the solution to getting BoA's cross realm? maybe for a fee the Ethereal will hold your BoA's so you can pick them up on another realm.

IMO:

(Void Storage) - I am going with being the storage system for the tier and vanity items and so on that everyone has been wanting. My guess would be it can store as much as you want but you can only withdraw 1 item per 'X' hours or some other kind of cooldown like transmuting. This will make the current bank your main option for storing stuff and the void storage more a closet for random junk you want to keep.

(Transmogrifier) - This one is either changing your facial features, Or Ability to change armor looks with another item. Since "mogrify = resize an image, blur, crop, despeckle, dither, draw on, flip, join, re-sample".

PTR realms are online, I'm not sure if this is a new thing but, your toons you transferred over the last time are still there.

Some suggestions to the picture Blizzard put on there facebook page are:

Warpweaver Hashom - "A WoW Rehash/Revamp"

Additionally, Thalmor has proposed the following:

Thaumaturge Vashreen - "Have a true gamers hunt"
Vaultkeeper Razhid - "hide a true leak" with remaining letters ZPRV.
ZPRV shifted to the right by one letter is SW/AQ (Stormwind Ahn'Qiraj)
Numerically, SWAQ is 1,17,19,23 and 1+19 = 20 and 17+23 = 40, add this to the AQ and you get AQ20/40

SW could refer to Stormwind (where the screenshot is likely to be taken), or perhaps Sunwell

I've been on the ptr and couldn't find that place in SW on my Nelf Rogue... =/ So I honestly don't know yet. x.x
