Anyway, today I was on my pally doing the dailies when I go down in the cave and I see a huge commotion going on. There's a gnome mage trying to kill Solix but he also has a bunch of the elemental adds on him...needless to say he dies, Solix resets. I posted in general reluctantly since you can either get hunters that try to tame the mob or griefers that try to kill them. I got a bite from a dwarf hunter I inv him to a group showed him where he was and told him what he had to do to tame him. We both died from the adds running around the cave but I told him good luck and went on to finish my dailies. On the way back I check back in the cave and Solix is still just chilling there. So I figured what the heck let me bring my main down here to give this a shot since no one seemed interested in him. I'd rather him get tamed then get killed.
I bring my main out there, run in the cave and Solix is still sitting there. The gnome mage tried to attack him again but promptly gets his face eaten. The dwarf hunter is standing there with him targeted but not doing anything. My main is horde so I make a few friendly gestures to him, give him a few mins to give it a shot..he never does. So I finally give it a go...and I got killed...come back got killed again. LOL I had no idea that sucker was that fast. I was doing everything I read about too. Putting down frost trap, putting on aspect of the cheetah, waiting for the trap to come off cd then pulling him, keeping concussive shot on him. He's still catching up to me everytime. I come back after the third time, the dwarf is standing there again. I figured after he saw how I went about it he might try but he never did, and eventually he left. People are coming in the cave doing the dailies I'm getting worried my attempts might get messed up or someone might see Solix and try to kill him...finally the cave clears out and I give it a go. I waited till everything was off cd including readiness and pulled. I get him once around the circle and he almost catches up to me but luckily he runs into the initial trap I laid down and I get some room. I hit readiness on the next go around the circle put a trap down and disengage to give me some tame room. By now though I'm worried he's gonna die cause he was below 25 energy. I start taming, I'm watching his energy go down while he waddles through my last trap, he gets up in my face and starts smacking me, two secs left on tame and bam he shrinks.
I was shaking so hard lol Now I just have to think of a name for him. I do think he goes well with the tier 12 armor colors:
