This is my new kitten Darby!
I found him when I went to the shelter. Some women had a box full of kittens and I hated to see them put in those small cages so I told her I would take them off her hands. I gave all of them to a pet store that I lived by accept one. In some way I saved this kitten because I knew that he only had 1-2 weeks to get a home or they would put him to sleep. I'm his guardian angel.
This little kitten is the closest thing to my other cat that had pasted away a year ago, his name is Gigi.
Gigi was a stray that my mother brought home one night. I only had him for 8 months before he died of a urinary blockage and putting him to sleep. (I was there by his side when he died so he could know that I loved him to the end) He was a special cat, he healed me as well as me healing him. I was a depressed mess while he never knew love and the joys of a warm home.
I remember that me and him where inseparable. Gigi would follow me around the house, we would sleep together and he would be by my computer while I played WoW. I wish I could put my feelings for this cat into better words but its just something you'll all have to experience for yourself one day.
Gigi was and forever will be my friend. To this day his ashes rest on my shelf in my room.

Re: My new kitty and remembering anther
I have a thing for black cats with white markings. My grandmas cat was black with white paws and a little white in the face, and it was there all of my childhood. It became 12-13 years, and then it got sick and had to be put down.
