Again during the Ulduar Cinematic, while Varian did not appreciate Thrall's presence, he did not immediately teleport away. It was Garrosh who escalated, insulting Varian and his people to his face. Even then, when Varian challenged him, he did not take the first strike. That was Garrosh. Varian, despite all the injustices heaped upon him and his people, did not completely rule out dealing with the Horde until Garrosh attacked him viciously while Thrall stood by impotently.

Sorry but, LIKE THRALL WOULD BE STUPID ENOUGH TO GET IN BETWEEN TWO SAVAGE PEOPLE FIGHTING. Sorry but reading through the post just made me think; Lol butthurt for Varian. Sure he may have his reasons- but he's still no better than Garrosh half the time in my opinion, and it just seems to be more of trying to justify his actions and thoughts than anything else, when both sides are to blame, not any one action. Or the fact there's reasons why Grom, if I remember right is labled as a hero, because he basically freed the horde from their stupid mistake.

I've read this and this is what I think about it!

First of all, the author shouldn't just point his fingers to everything the horde did but should see what the alliance did as well. But he chose to ignore all this.

I am pretty tried of these discussions about who did what to whom with what right.

This is madness? No.
This is Sparta? No.
This is World of WARcraft!

So lets stop blaming each other and do what we came for...

I play my characters on horde side. Why? because I love Orcs, I love the Tauren and, yes, I admit, I really like the blood elves too.
Humans are boring, night elves are ugly and gnomes... well... Whoever needs to play one, should... I'm not among them.

Yeah, the horde has come, being only orcs back then, under the influence of demon blood and started slaughtering all living beings without any reason. They came as conquerors and were pretty effective and successful at first. And yes, Orgrim Doomhammer didn't do very many good things. And yes, Thrall took his armour, his hammer and the title of Warchief. Because war it is that we still are at.

The orcs came as conquerors but then added the Tauren to their cause. Why? Because they did what no other race on Azeroth was willing to do: SAVE THEM FROM EXTINCTION! And the Darkspear Trolls came along and joined the horde. Why? Because the horde did what no other race on Azeroth was willing to do: SAVE THEM FROM EXTINCTION! And the forsaken? Once being human, now back, ready to fight evil? The betrayed elves? And the goblins will join, because they are being attacked on sight by... well, can you guess? Humans! the Alliance. Once again, the horde will be life savers.

My heart is beating in Orgrimmar. I don't care for who is Warchief, Thrall or Garrosh. When I hear the warcry "For the horde!" I will pick up my armor and my weapons and fight all Alliance that I'll meet, just like any other living creature would do when it's time for war.
I will kill and plunder and burn and pillage, just like the alliance will do. I will tell myself that I fight for a just cause, just like alliance solders will do. I will fight till I die or till the enemy is annihilated, just like the alliance will.

We faced the demons, we faced the scourge and now we will face whatever that black dragon aspect will be throwing at us. There never were any alliance fighting by my side and there won't be some in the future.

World of Warcraft it's called.

I am an Alliance at heart. Always have, always will be. Nothing can convince me otherwise. Worgen won't scare me away, nor will the mass of supposed Twilight fans. I have fought and killed the horde, yes. But even still, I've helped them.

As I was roaming Icecrown, I saw a tauren trapped, surrounded by undead that kept respawning. There was never a lull. So I fly down there, cat form, and join the fray. Minute later, a random human DK comes. The tauren, while we distract the undead, mounts, thanks us, and flies off. Then the DK mounts, and then I, bird form. Even still, I've had my fair share of deaths at the hands of horde. I was half health, flagged for some reason or another, fighting off a frost wyrm when a hordie decides to swoop down, kill me, laugh, fly off.

Both sides have commited mistakes. Both sides fight, because of prejudice, or hate, or fear.

But I like Kara, will take up arms. Not for the horde, but my arrows, and my pet's claws and fangs, will always, always, always fight for the Alliance, no matter what comes are way. We'll help the horde as needed. We'll accept help from them when we need it.

But we will ALWAYS be FOR THE ALLIANCE!

Nah, it's because we really haven't wanted to. The Alliance are the ones hell-bent on destroying the Horde, while the Horde have been perfectly content to go about their business without the need for eradicating the opposite faction.

Of course Garrosh has different ideas, and Varian is all too willing to feed the troll so to speak, so obviously things are going to change. We're going to have two factions essentially ruled by 15 year old boys. Is not going to be pretty.

I had a long post all thought out, but then I realized it'd fall mostly on deaf ears. So I'll sum it up: Varianns not that bad, has plenty of reason for wanting to destroy the orcs. The orcs are mostly NOT THAT GOOD, and want to go back to their warring ways. Its why they have an arena ((The one that Variann was forced to fight in, not the goblin run one)) and why Garrosh has a following at all. The rest of the horde is a mishmash of races who are just coming together for protections sake, and Thrall is a very charismatic leader.

And before you say "But humans/night elves/gnomes/dwarves/draeni are bad too!" don't. You'd be talking about individuals, or groups of people who do not represent the ALLIANCE. The orcs? Are the survivors left behind when the gate back to Outlands was sealed. That means their CHILDREN may not be guilty, but they sure as hell are. And as far as that goes, we aren't even going to go into the undead, or the blood elves. As far as I am concerned, the only 'good' race are the tauren, whom I love dearly. Even the trolls have been a dangerous race for many years at this point in WoW history, though their main beef was always with the elves.

Speaking of which, that's probably one of the main reasons that the blood elves joining the horde was such a load of crap, they'd never stoop so low as to join with their ancestral enemy. But Blizzard can write things the way they want.

The fact is Varian reacts like a normal person would and no-one can or should blame him for that. He can be hot headed and have a temper but I love him being the King of Stormwind he is noble and good at heart. Take for example the killing of Saurfang in ICC if your not alliance you do not see the good in Wrynn's heart...that is where I place my two cents. Garrosh is in ways like Varian except he picks fights and with the coming of cataclysm hes getting much worse in my personal opinion. Declaring all out war on all alliance is not the way especially when theres a threat that they could really use each others help to stop. We will see where it goes but I am and have always been alliance and will continue to stay that way.

BTW Bolvar Fordragon did not die at the wraith gate he lived and now is the new lich king.
