Hunter pets with two word names?

I've seen a couple hunters in BG's with pets that have two word names (both spirit beasts). Sadly, both of the hunters were opposite faction, so I couldn't ask them how this was done. Any ideas?

If I remember right, there was a time when any pet which had two words in the name, pre-tame (i.e. Carrion Bird or Spirit Beast, as opposed to say Dog) could be given a two-word name. I think this was changed awhile back, though.

The other possibility is that the other hunters' clients were of a different language, and that the pets' names were actually "Spirit Beast" in another language.
