Well thats a revolutionary war....Colonials win. So of course the enemy is the British. They're not allowed to change the real enemy from a real war.

Well they could make him on the English side..... Thats what I was getting at every game based in that era is allways on the yanks side never the English side. They don't need to follow history strickly theres allways the "What if the other side one" Kind of storys. (then again most "historic" based games get the history wrong anyway ) I was just saying how I thougt would be cool.

Of corse when they do that the News stations like Fox will call them anti american and all that crap.... They allways do.

I think part of the reason for this is b/c it IS a real war, you don't want to make a game where the character is on the losing side and everyone knows it before-hand. I'm personally hoping he works for the Native Americans, as he is NA, and does equal damage to both sides, as, to be frank, I don't like either when it comes to this war, British b/c of their Oppression, and the Colonists for their Oppression of the Natives.

Does not stop them from making Veitnam based ones  America did not truely win that. You can allways make it in a differnt dimenstion where things where slightly differnt it's worked in the past. What would be more interresting would be if it was set in the Civil war.

EDIT: Your idea of him working for the Native Americans would be pretty cool. It's hardly ever done and come on how many Native American characters in games do you get to play as? Turok is all I can think of oh and that guy from Prey.

EDIT again  : or he could be just neutral and just do work for everyone that would work well too.

No...No they can't. Why? Everyone knows the Brits LOSE. That would make the game rather pointless when Assassin's Creed is known to be pretty historically accurate.

Assassin's Creed is usually historically accurate. Suggestions are fine but....that kind doesnt suit this game at all. It's not cliche. It's just what happened for real.

I challenge you to find a game made in other countries where they don't have their country as the good guy. :P

Hmm there should be some. not every one can follow that stereotype. Heck even the yanks have done that. Half life half of the game has you fighting the marines.
But thats true most people are not like me and would not find it fun to fight my own side. I would XD

IMO Modern Warfare 2 was a kiss ass to the British. All the Americans you play as get killed or are saved by the Britts

In this interview they confirm that Connor will be playing (i.e., assassinating) both sides of the Colonists-British divide, as well as fighting the French, which of course everyone is fine with. XD no ones safe!

The french get no love.

Personally I'm a bit upset because it's on my list of stuff I want to play but can't because I don't have a decent enough computer.
