I finally unlocked my legacy surname last night in SWTOR. I don't really like being put on the spot with names. I try to come up with names that fit lore, gender, something I like, etc. After thinking for a while, I decided to use my kitty's name, Skye. But, nope, it was taken. Other ideas ran through my head like Jade (Jayde, Jaide), S'kye or Sky'e since Skye was taken, Nataali (just a name I like), Naf'tali (name from the Bible I like), Skyhawk, etc. None of them really appealed to me. I couldn't think of anything else, and I had spent 45 minutes trying to think of something (with my husband waiting patiently for me to pick a name already so we could quest), so I went with Esembi. It's basically the first initial of each of my pets' names spelled phonetically - S(kye) M(ia) B(laze). I kinda liked it for about thirty seconds, then wished I had just gone with plain ol' Skyhawk (Sky for Skye my kitty and hawk because it's my favorite bird).
I was trying to think of some surnames today in the hopes that they'll let us change it someday (whether for real money or in-game money, I don't care), and I think I might have settled on one - Ouranos, which is Greek for "sky" and I think it looks cool. Although now that I look at it, I looks kinda like "Our anus". >.> Crap.
So, does anyone else have a surname they now regret, or was I just one of the stupid ones? My problem wasn't that I didn't think about it enough, it's that I thought about it too much. Should have just come up with something random like my husband did.
