Biggest Pet Decision Ever ><
So I realized lately I missed my stompy devilsaur..I loved that guy so much.. Got him the first day we were able to get devilsaurs. I have my 4 spirit beasts and was going to release Malik my Rak'shiri and say that Shinigami my Gondria was Malik reborn.. When I went to hit the release button on Malik I had big old tears well up in my eyes and I knew I couldnt do it. Now dont throw anything at me please but..I hadnt bonded to my Gondria - Shinigami.. as much as I liked her..I didnt well LOVE her... But Malik is a different story..I couldnt give anyone else up as I love the other 3 to death. So I made the decision..what I felt was the right one.. I let Shinigami go.. I got my stompy friend back and Malik's beautiful emerald eyes still peer out at me from my stable when I go there. Tell me, did I do the wrong thing?

I don't think so at all. Sounds like the Devilsaur meant a lot more to you, and it doesn't matter whether it's a Spirit Beast or not - if you don't click you don't click. ^^
Gondria has been the Spirit Beast that I've encountered the most, and I even have some weird psychic bond with it. However - it's the only one that I can't seem to keep very long. I'm assuredly taming it again once Cataclysm hits, but for now I'm content to let it wander Zul'Drak until I'm ready.

You definately did the right thing. You love your stompasaurus and kitty. Nothing wrong with that.

I also agree that you didn't the right thing. Better to let go of a pet you only 'like' to get a pet you truly love and have a bond with.

I'm brandy-new poster to these forums, and I feel this is a topic that is perfect for a first-post kinda thing. Nevyc (my hunter) started way back as an alt/hobby, but has quickly grown into more of a passion then an alt.
Probably the biggest reason for this shift in priority is: I love how hunters really do bond with their pets, albeit not all pets. This is what I truly appreciate. Just because a pet is special to me doesn't mean it will be special to you, and visa versa. Just because it's ment to be special, doesn't mean it will be.
Although I'm a first-time poster, I've been a frequent reader of these boards, as such I notice much wisdom from Vephriel. Once again she hit the nail on the head.
"...if you don't click, you don't click."
BTW-I love my stompy-devilsaur too. Like you I tamed him the moment I was allowed. I remember finding out that we could, and that wotlk would have motorcycles. Woot! for dinos, bikes, and guns!
Good luck and listen to your gut.
