Yeah, I've been snatching up certain polearms and staves off the AH for my various monk sets before they start getting really expensive. I especially like spear looking polearms myself, and thank God I have a toon with a 5 slot guild bank to stash all this monk stuff and crafting mats Anyways, l definitely love the fist weapons, polearms, bows, and some of the guns they've shown. How any of them will fit in with my sets is yet to be determined.

EDIT: Although the dragon bow is nice too.

From a purely cosmetic standpoint I'm actually glad we can't use melee weapons anymore. While I do think some of the current (and older) melee weapons look pretty awesome...and I've acquired quite a collection of them lol, I very much prefer seeing a bow or a gun strapped to my hunters back.Loki wrote:I look at that dragon staff, remember that we can't use melee weapons anymore, and sigh.

Personally I feel that the bows and guns are much harder to make striking than polearms and staffs. There are a few, especially that now-unavailable lion bow, and the crossbow shaped like a boat, but on the whole they seem to be far less distinguishable.ma3lstrom wrote:From a purely cosmetic standpoint I'm actually glad we can't use melee weapons anymore. I'm definitely going to miss a few of my favourite staves and polearms, but in the long run I think I'm more relieved to not have to worry about them any longer. I much prefer seeing my bow on my back, and now I don't have to worry about that horrendous enchant glow that often destroyed a transmog look. As beautiful as some of these new weapons are, I cringe at the thought of them being covered by a blob of green that obscures all the pretty details.
Overall I'm feeling pretty pleased by the weapon decision. I could miss some aspects of it if I wanted to, but without dwelling on it I'm much more excited for the ranged being displayed.

I just love the fact that I'm no longer going to need to compete for what is essentially a stat stick and listen to Druids bitch about it in raid finder. They can argue with the monks now from here on outVephriel wrote:Overall I'm feeling pretty pleased by the weapon decision.
