Silithidian Blues

Unread post by Kurasu »

I happened to look in my stable to do some cleaning out, and I found that at some point I have lost my bond with Bandersnitch. It happens occasionally; a pet just stops clicking. He's been with me a long while, but I guess it's time to move on.

The only problem: as I look through all the Silithid, I can't find a single one of them that grabs me. I had a couple brief 'pings' on some of them, but when I went to pick them up, I found that it didn't match as well as I thought. But a silithid and its stamina buff are an important stable pet. So I'm going to need to find a way to bond with one somehow.

*plays them blues*

I've had that happen a few times with my pets. My stable was nearly wiped out because I couldn't settle down with most of my Spirit Beasts. Once having the server first Anhka, server third Ban'thalos, and a whole bunch more, I was left with only a few rare pets. I also once ditched an Arcturis that I camped for 8 days to get and I almost ditched my Loque'Nahak which took me months and my favorite pet, King Krush.

That being said, the thing that saved them from me wiping them off of my stable list was I simply explored with them. I got on a ground mount, in that situation it's my Grand Ice Mammoth, and I rode from Orgrimmar to Tanaris, exploring places and noting things that I haven't seen before. And if you really want to have fun, like me, you can get a pet with an AoE, and if you're on a PvP server like me you can hunt down low leveled characters and watch them call over their level 90 friends after AoEing little packs of them questing. (Yes, I've done this before.)

As you're feeling blue, maybe you could try Harakiss? Looks quite striking with the archaeology mount. And I think the boss animations aren't quite as buggy as they were before.

Having done this with black Madexx (from Uldum to the Molten Front), I can confirm this. ;)

I must confess... I've done this, too.

Anyway, Silithids are awesome pets. Just spend some time with a new one. Take one to his old home, Ahn'Qiraj, and fight the bosses together.
With luck, you can forge a new bond or rekindle an old one!
