Hydra Hunter Pets in WoW TCG!!!!!!

Mmmm, it can go either way.

As the article says, "This new hunter pet was summoned by the Sandfury trolls long ago in Zul'Farrak. He is said to be either a pet of the Old Gods, or a demigod himself. Whatever the case may be, he is now your pet to command, and he sure packs a punch." (/nerd alert >.> Ghaz'rilla is female. article is bugging me now XD)

Since its classified hunter in the TCG is can be seen as a pet to the person dealing the card but hard to say if that will ever make it in game. The dungeon journal in-game, just as the article states, says Ghaz'rilla is supposedly either a pet to the Old Gods (something I believe myself when you include the fact Aku'mai is a hydra and pet of the Old Gods) or a demigod in her own right. TCG is veeeeeeeery very different so im still sitting on the side of the fence that is still waiting for definitive world of warcraft proof :3

None the less, it's still interesting regardless of what it may bring with its reveal and i just loooove the art for the card. The 'troll' looks more like an elf tho. Maybe it is an elf? I have noooooooooooo idea.

I wouldn't get your hopes too high about that. TCG doesn't really reflect what LIVE has all the time but this does give some hope. Plus but lore, Sandfury trolls always had them.

To obtain one as a hunter pet you'll have to get one of the ultra-rare loot card versions!

But as for the TCG reference to it being a pet, I know the TCG doesn't have to reflect the live game, but does it represent other beast "allies" as "pets" when they're not tamed by hunters in the game? Maybe this is a standard kind of terminology? I'm just wondering as I don't play the game.

I don't play the card game, but I do collect the cards for the pretty pictures, and to gamble for loot

I've never seen a pet that wasn't tameable marked for hunters. I might've missed some or it might have something to do with it being the guardians betrayal set. I'm not up on all the lore so I'm not sure if the troll who summoned the hydra was somehow betraying his people, but its a possibility.

I certanely hope this is a sign of things to come, like say, a hopeful new model and thus a new pet family in 5.3. I was originally hoping for a Megaera-style model for em', but after looking up the lore of Megaera it turns out he's really just a mutated Cloud Serpent and not the actual thing.
