Threat from Above, tips and tricks for other group quests.
/LFG to Transformers Animated...I mean TFA.
Okay stupid jokes are stupid.
We all know that hunters and paladins have a high success doing the daily group quest solo. Actually saw a Warlock solo it yesterday.
Myself I gave it a shot, it was not pretty, no really...I get Chilly to Kill shot but then I..well...that's my pets limit, Morowa can't take anymore punishment.
So now I ask you my fellow hunters, how do you do it? How can you defeat Chillmaw without dying?
You may use this topic to also discuss other group quests that give you problems, maybe somebody can give you a trick to beating it.

I'm honestly just not geared enough to do it solo. I just gotta bite the bullet and group with people to get it done, but then it also means I have a group for Citadel too. Those commanders are a pain in the butt, y'know? You need at least 1 other person to get'em all.
Of course it means a lot of 'fun' circumstances show up. Yesterday I had to save another group member from one of the bombers because they wouldn't pay attention. And my all-time favorite was on my rogue, when we agreed that the paladin would tank it and then...woah! Hey! Why is Chilly targeting ME? /EVADE TANK ASAP
Fortunately we still brought him down, but man...those are the types of groups I get into and out of as quickly as I can X_x

I put out my tank-pet, usually a worm or a bear, make sure he has all the survicability talents, misdirect to him, and then I just start nuking. When he starts dropping cultists I freeze one, and let the other two beat at me until Chillmaw is dead. When he is, my pet zooms in, grabs one of the two on me, we both nuke it, switch to the second, nuke that. By now I usually am close to running out of HP, so I feign, which puts both mobs on the pet.
Hard to explain, really, but I find it quite easy.

It also helps a lot if you have a spec something like this and a pet that's specced for Great Stamina, Natural Armor, Blood of the Rhino, Pet Barding, Guard Dog, Thunderstomp, Grace of the Mantis, Roar of Sacrifice, Silverback and Wild hunt. The group DPS spec simply doesn't offer enough survivability.
When doing TFA myself, I send my pet in, pop all my cooldowns and misdirect, drop a trap a bit before the bombers come down to be able to trap a second time sooner. From then it's just tank n spank and feigning to get the bombers off me. Mend Pet should be up at all times, especially if you're still gearing up.
If you're still having problems with them, Drums of the Wild, Drums of Forgotten Kings, Runescroll of Fortitude, Poached Northern Sculpin and Spiced Mammoth Treats will help a lot. ^^

I buff up with both Drums, use Elixirs of Mighty Thoughts and Might Agility, eat my Blackened Dragonfin and feed my pet his snacks. This is probably overkill but better safe than sorry.
I use drop all my traps, Misdirect to my pet (I just use my Wolf, I don't use a tanking pet) and pull Chillmaw, doing a rotation (minus Steady Shot) and then Feign (I don't change specs, I use my regular Marksman spec). Then I Readiness, MD again and kill Chillmaw, then just kite the Cultists around while dropping traps. I use Mend Pet constantly as well during the Chillmaw portion (once I'm kiting the adds my pet is just chewing on them while I have their attention).
Takes about a minute or so.

Well I'll look into it and see what happens. My way isn't that different, maybe it's all about practise since I can solo Citadel without having to heal, if the gargoyles don't see me as a daily snack.
But I'll take these helpful advices to heart and give them a shot.
