O.O *cries* Core Hound...

Unread post by Tratzul »

I've been following 2 Spawns of Uvuros around in Shadowmoon Valley, around the volcanos, and I really have no clue if I can solo-tame one. The elementals nearby freak me out, since I don't want to abandon a pet I love to use as I cleaar aound one of it's paths.

I've found 3 safe spots, where no elementals aggro on me, but either corehound is too far away/down, or only in range of Tame Beast for a second.... ;.;

I've read up in them in Wowhead, and they have a knockback they can use at 10 yards... @.@ So I my have to clear the area, then abandon a pet anyway. Link: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=21108#comments

Would haste items help me, in case I have to nearly place my Freeze trap right on the hound, so to speak? (20 seconds isn't fast when you're watching other mobs, and armor's at 0 ... x.x)

Oh, this is with Wispquill, my level 69 hunter on Burning Blade.

Level 69? I forget what level beast they are, but they'r enot outrageously bad. They hit hard, but not like they'll one swipe you. As for your safe spots, shoot the core hound with one shot to get aggro, run to your safe spot, and start taming. If you want drop your trap first, then one shot him. Actually, once you hit the tame beast button, they'll run towards you, so that one second they are in range is all you need. You can always bring a friend with a rez so if you die you won't have to keep running back. My main is a druid and as long as a druid hits you with HoT's before you start to tame, they shouldn't pull aggro. Just don't let them heal you after you start taming.
