Pet Taunt not working on Sarth 25?

Is there a reason my turtle's growl doesn't work on Sarth? I tried to solo him and I can't keep the boss off me long enough to kill Shadron. Shad is the only drake up. Is this boss immune to pet taunts or something?

There's a standing issue with pet taunts not working on raid bosses. Apparently it was meant to stop pets from messing up aggro tables during real raids. It ended up stopping us from soloing old raids.

even with the pet taunt not working as intended you can still feign death and misdirect.. ive been soloing 25 man sarth for a few months now.. just need to time your feigns and misdirect constantly.. also sarth has pillow hands you can face tank until your feign is up then disengage etc... i even had time to bandage once...i guess it depends on ilvl etc.. i was doing it at 470 and now at 490 its easy

I've actually had an issue with bosses de-spawning on use of FD.

BC and WOTLK level raids (and maybe dungeons too, I haven't been in one in a while) have been broken to pet taunting for a while so you'll need to chain MDs constantly throughout the fight. Your pet will have very loose aggro throughout so you really need to be careful not to pull aggro off of it.
