Going solo...

Unread post by Slickrock »

Well, not totally solo, but it feels like it...

So I moved my orc hunter to the same server as Slickrock when they had the sale, to benefit from the VP buff, and items that could be mailed cross-faction. That part works really well, but... what I failed to look at is just how poor the horde is on Aeire Peak US. Wow, it's bad. The horde have not killed a world boss from what I can tell in over a month, and if they do it's only in guild groups that you don't hear about. Chat is totally dead in zones, and even trade is terrible. Hard to find anything on the AH that you need gear-wise.

So.. basically gearing this toon with more assistance from my ally toons than any help horde-side.

Getting geared without ever getting a chance at a world boss is going to be a challenge, that's for sure.

Huh, sounds like something I would really prefer, sadly my realm is medium to large sized so its never been up for the free transfer. I am getting so sick of the Alli trade chat on my server. Horde on my server is pretty bad, the auction house there is a joke with how little is put in there, but as I play mostly Alli that is what I see the most. Last few nights it seems to be full of rape jokes, sex talk, politics and cursing. I've reported and ignored where appropriate, but it is getting old fast. I've never been one for large group raiding myself, and gearing up is not a huge priority, just exploring the different classes and specs mostly and pet/mount collecting. I might have to try a smaller server.

Yeah, Aerie Peak is horribly balanced, not helped by the fact that the HUGE guilds associated with the Call To Raid podcast are there Alliance-side (I believe they're up to 11 co-guilds there right now, they have so many members).

So... had to stay home due to plumbing issue.

Started the day at 458 equipped. 5 LFRs later, plus some valor and honor, sitting at 481 equipped, with 5 of each Sigil.
