Thinking of xfering a toon to an RP realm, any advice?

Hi All,

I've never RP'ed before and everyone here makes it sound really fun and interactive! I'm abit lonely in wow some nights (although sometimes doing my own thing is ok) but i'd like more interaction with other ppl so i thought i would xfer one of my many 85's to a rp realm to lvl and play abit.

I know you have a character and you be that character all the time but is there any other advice? I'm thinking of moving my pally as i've kinda given her a backstory already (it's prob abit far fetched). Is there any realms that are nicer to newbies than others? Any guilds you'd recommend? I'm an oceanic player but theres no oceanic timed realms so I'm abit worried i'll get there and no one will be on lol!

This board is super old, but it still has some valid points on RP severs. :3 My opinion still stands by moon Guard. I recently transferred to WRA to be with my boo, but the server is TERRIBLE IMO. People there that make me want to smash my head against my desk and an entire server that can't ever seen to down Oondasta Egh *cringe*

But yeah. MG is where it's at. But I would check out that thread anyways for more opinions!
