My account's been banned.

I absolutely have no clue what happened since I wasn't ingame last night. I received an email saying my account has been permanently closed, saying I was involved with real money transaction, which is a complete lie. All I've done is used a game card in get in (which there was no offense with the first time I used one back in September). I've sent a complaint asking why my account was banned, but it looks like I won't be hanging around with you guys ingame again. I may have to force myself to play in a private server again, which has been fun for a while, but it has obnoxious people in them.

A friend was hacked and basically turned into a gold farmer for a bit. And her account got suspended and she got it back, it wasn't banned. And tbh you should fight back. Hell I'd even go so far as to say 'just take all my gold from my characters then, I don't care about money or buying money or anything like that, I never bought gold, I never sold gold, please let me have my account back'. If you are innocent you need to fight for it. Prove it. Hell you could make a temp account for the week trial for vanilla and try and get in touch with a GM even that way. Anything is better than nothing.

I was hacked a long time ago. If this had something to do with that, then I dunno why my account is banned for old charges, which is bull because I worked to get it back, which it worked. Someone was nice enough to recover it for me.

my secondary account was broken into earlier this week, fortunately i've don't have any toons higher than lvl 12 on it. all they did was create new toons on servers i don't play, then apparently spam gold in the chat channels.

dude, blizzard can see where your account was last logged in from, their servers would easily have records of the IP addresses accessing them. if someone logged into from china an hour after you logged into it from the US, then that alone tells them something isn't right. while this may possibly be an extreme example, it is entirely possible too.

don't put up with the ban. go to head with them

Authenticator only costs 10 bucks- hell could ask a friend to get one if you can't buy it. I can't buy one from the US OR EU store as they buggered my address information and I can't change it for some reason. Or well I could have buggered it putting it in but well yeah.

But Aria is buying it for me; and just repayed her thru paypal. If you can't get that, do you have a cellphone? There is the a downloadable, free for use, authenticator offered by Blizz.

I actually went for five years without getting hacked. I have been hacked twice in one year now, though. The first time I still don't know what happened. The second time they hacked my e-mail, and from there my Blizzard account, and changed my password that way. I just happened to have my account page still up, and changed it back, then switched e-mails to something better protected then Yahoo.

The first time, though, my account was used as a farming account. They sold off everything not nailed down, and built up the mining on my hunter to 400, then did laps around Sholazaar basin for the twelve hours it took me to get it back. Blizzard was nice enough to give me all my stuff back too, but I also got a great GM that time.

I really don't have any friends, and I highly doubt my uncle or my dad will like me using a cell phone my uncle is paying for as a WoW Authenticator. Since my account is banned now, there's no reason until those Blizz get off their fat butts to fix this problem since I've done nothing wrong.

Well, perhaps it's time for a break from the game in that case. If you really wanted to play more I think you'd have a more aggressive attitude towards getting your account back. Maybe it's just time to call it quits if your interest has waned?

So far, I've sent a complaint and an ingame ticket (which it looks like I am gonna have to wait a good time for) and I am waiting, but I have to admit: you may be right. I haven't really been too big in playing WoW although it is addicting as a hunter to find rare pets. I used to be real giddy in playing the game all day, every day two years ago. Now I play at night mainly to prevent my dad from knowing I still play WoW. It can get pretty boring to do the same quests and other activities over and over, which is why I don't make alts.

Right now though, I am frustrated I've wasted my thirty bucks for just buying a game card then only playing for three weeks before my account gets banned.

yes yes i know the hold line takes forever and a day and i know its not free for everyone
but really its one of the only ways ingame the gms are at the best .. idiots (no offence to the ones that atully read tickets and help)
ive seen this kinda thing done before to a mate of mine who lived down teh road ... she got hacked and banned just before a raid and was on the phone 1-2 hours talking to blizz after awhile it got sorted

friend of mine had even worse problems ... he got banned one month later they fixed it but he could only logg on Russian servers and the whole language of his account was changed ... happily they fixed that also

BUT: all his chars where gone so he had to chose 1 that they could retrieve


i also have been banned several times XD for using anti afk bot and auto bg joining in TBC hehe

2 hours 4 hours then 1 day XD then would have been a permenant (finnal warning) and havent done anything similar anymore

other story: friend of mine used speedhack in Warsong to get the Flagg that idiot XD he got bannend permenantly and he also got an email 2 days later that his 5k gold he bought arrived at his email XD i was laughing my ass off

Just what I was going to ask. As it so happens, my partner recieved an email just last night telling him there was evidence of selling or trading his account, it was full of official looking links, but when hovered over, all those links lead to very unofficial looking places.

did you actually try to log in? I have a feeling there is nothing wrong with your account...

I was gonna ask that as well. I was wondering if he actually tried to logg in ? I wonder if kamoodle5 could copy the email in her minus any links of course. They should give you a option to dispute the action. It's not like them to oh well to bad your account is closed and you cant do anything about it.

There have been scam/phishing emails of just this kind. I recall someone in my guild on Eldrethalas talking about getting one. DON"T click any links in it!!

It still surprises me that people will fall for these scams. To me, they seem so easy to spot.
