I'm thinking to start again.
I didnt play for a long time and my last visit was jul 03,2011 on this forum.

So i have some questions.

1) Is it even worth to start with MOP.Is it still fun to play with the hunter classe?
2) When you use stampede are the pets using there special,exotic and bonus abilities?
3) Is it true that we got more stable slots?
4) Can hunter still solo stuff like old raids?

And is Saturo still around? I remember Vephriel to with her black devilsaur^^

1) Hunter class isn't half-bad, I suppose. Apparently it has been getting SLAMMED with some hardcore nerfs, but they've been working on keeping that balanced, so frankly I say if you like the hunter class, don't get too worked up and keep doing what you do best--huntering.

2) Could have sworn that they decided to make that no longer a thing. http://forums.wow-petopia.com/viewtopic ... 52#p426652 So yeah, as far as I can tell, when pets are summoning via Stampede, they just do straight up smack a boss.

3) Yup. We're at 50 now? 55 including the ones you can summon, I believe.

4) Yeah. I definitely solo real early raids like MC and all that nonsense no problem (obviously) and can solo Ony and Maly on my hunter pretty reliably as well. However, Growl is borked so you'll be facetanking a lot.

5) Saturo is no longer around, she was banned for various reasons up to a year or more ago. Vephriel is definitely still around.

If I comeback I planning to solo alot old content like ony,the eye,kara...for the mounts. And ofcourse mc for the legendary,have already one binding
And maby trying to solo naxx 10 because i want the green hunter set.

Yup. totally doable. I'll do it on my 450ish hunter fairly often without too much trouble. Naxx isn't too bad. Maly is just a straight up DPS race to P2 and then doing well on P3. Ony's whelps can be obnoxious, but also doable.

Yeah. If I remember right, it was a matter that many conflicts were started by her and it several others, all of which who were dealt with appropriately.

With The Eye i ment the raid in Netherstrom. Never thought about The Eye of Eternity. Didn't like that raid back then.
But that azure drake is a nice one so maybe I try that one to.

Soloing for mounts:
Tempest Keep - fully soloable, although you will want to go petless for Kael (did it as MM no-prob).
OS3D soloable as well, if you don't have those; 10man easily, 25man by-me-almost (520ilvl, no great gaming skill, getting killed at below 20% currently, soon(TM))
Onyxia - easy
Malygos - get a nice burst during the transition between phase 1 and 2 and he's a breeze (my best shot so far was around 50k hp left for phase 3, with a nice alignments of MM procs just in time)
VoA - mostly easy, although be carefull with the ice one...

If you're into minipets, several has been added as drops to the older raids (and some encounter mechanics have been made solo-friendly). See:

It's possible to solo certain bosses from Cata raids as well. I believe there's a guide for soloing Alysrazor somewhere in these forums.

I received already the mount from voa and OS3d(10man) during wotlk. OS3d 25 gonne be a challenge!

Are you using pvp gear for soloing?And are you using stamina gems?

Uhm... not me I'm very, very casual, I just solo the things that I can do in my current gear - LFR+rep+some lucky drops.

Also I haven't found extra stamina neccessary. Almost all of those I've put up there I've done with a dps spirit beast, the only exception being the petless Kael (including switching out of my current 4-piece so it won't summon him a 2nd target) and OS3D-25 attempts with dps corehound for burst.

I haven't been to BT solo yet, but unless there are some -really- crazy mechanics there, a dps pet will rock it much easier than a tank one. My spirit bear has ferocitied through all the 10-man raids up to Ulduar so far, and the last time I've been there solo was at the start of MoP, so I suspect he should be able to handle it pretty well as dps now. I think ICC would be the place to change into proper tenacity pet-tanking, but I don't know yet (last time I've found time to drop there was at the end of cata, and the starting webbing mobs have very politely shown me that I don't belong there ).

Anyway, with the current state of Growl in raids (broken at best, not working at all mostly), the ferocity pets have much better shot at keeping aggro. Hopefully the fix that's coming in 5.4 will do it's job. Still, their instant-revive in invaluable.

Uldu being the border for me I started it and was doing all-right, getting a few of the achis on the way, but got stopped by Thorim's arena mechanic, sadly. Then went and did the crusader's raid as I needed the gun and some armor for mog from there (10m normal ok, except the final boss, which is crazy stuff. Just barely managed to bring him down, but that was both some time/ilvls ago and before the castration of the stampede pets). Haven't tried ICC in mop yet, I don't feel all that drawn to it and it would feel better to go there on my DK anyway, so she could start working on her Shadowmourne.

As for the Uldu mount -I assume you mean the drop, not the achi one - you will need help just to get there due to the mechanics, and I'm fairly sure Yog25-0 will still be very hard to do, and I mean HARD. Heck, we used to catch a wipe or two on him on guild achi runs in early mop, and we were usually (chatty, fun-having and not very concentrated) 10-15 people...

5.4 date is still unknown, I think, but it could still take a while.

1. Definitely. Best expansion by far. It's got it's nitpicks(like too many required dailies) but other than that, I love it.
2. No. That was taken away, last I checked(or going to be).
3. Yes 55 total

My plan is:
First naxx for the hunter armor set then I can always try uldua
Vanilla,TBC and wotlk dungeons/raid for the mounts,mini-pets and 1 binding from MC to get that legendary sword.
ZG and ZA voor de mounts.
And I can keep doing some of the solo runs if the give a proper amount of gold?(and for fun ofc)

But I gonne wait until 5.4. Cata was a big disappointment so I doubt a little.

That's the hope.

Pet aggro is currently broken in that growl does not work in some situations (mostly old dungeons it seems) but the general work around is to glyph for Misdirect and then recast it frequently. So soloing is still fairly easy for hunters as long as you keep that in mind. I would say hunters probably share the #2 spot in solo viability with locks (DKs I would say are #1).

Well, the gold is a problem. I don't know if you've been here then, but they've "fixed" it some time ago. They didn't like how gold-profitable the old raids were.
So before a fix MC-Rag would drop 200g. (let's say so, don't reember actual numbers)
Now, as he was supposed to be tackled by 40ppl, if you solo him you only get 200/40=5g. If you bring a friend, each of you gets their 5g.
The loot is unchanged, though, so you can still make a buck selling unwanted drops.

They severely nerfed gold drop in TBC raids. Magtheridon used to drop around 500g I believe? Now it's maybe 20g. Karazhan bosses, 5g.
